Man it happens so fast.
I swear I just started going to the river as an adult and now they are.
MY kids are heading to the DS street party today with their friends and I am staying home to work. WTF!! LOL
Yesterday they were bobble heads running around on the beach and playing with their toys in the water. 😭 😭

A lot of us are right there with you. I tell all the younger guys with little ones “Enjoy each stage, good and bad. It goes by quick and they won’t be that little again. Each stage has stuff that makes you pull your hair out.”

Very true. My kid was running around the docks at the dock party. Shit was stressing me the fuck out.

I don't know how you do it bro with two. Hats off to you.

My head explodes just trying to watch one and still boat. I don't enjoy it particularly and my head wanders to days of me in my blown Jet cruising up to Sandbar with a styrofoam cooler and a box of Little Debbies, wondering where the day would take me! 😂

But then I snap back and realize having one is the best thing I ever decided to do in my life and for once I was not selfish!

It’s chaos. Both of them fight over the steering wheel. So I’m making a quick disconnect fake steering wheel for the passenger side.

But I tell myself it’s better than being at work.

Just bought my first grandbaby her life jacket the other day... Can't believe my oldest daughter is married, had her baby, and they just bought their house. When did I get that old?
But...I can't wait the get her out on the boat and start teaching her to be a boater as well.

Dude thats great. Mine used to be calm in my evening golf cart rides and now she wants the steering wheel and fidgets around the whole time doesn't want to stay seated. I'm like, When the heck did this start?!

Last time our son was home on leave I let him take the Howard out with his friends by himself for the first time. His friends said he was so overly careful! The tell-tale on the speedo only logged 73! Bottom line, he understands the value of a dollar, is hooked on boats, and will probably get a nice one eventually.

I have a 4 year old son and another son due in june, my 4 year wants to be on the water every chance he gets.

He also loves to mess with the wife, guess he learned that from me.

I take in everything I can, I will never be able to get back these days, so I try to make every moment count

Out of our combined 4 kids who grew up going 3 of them don’t really care. One of them moved to Havasu because he liked it, however he’s a long haul trucker and doesn’t have the time for the lake when he gets home. I have hope though. We started bringing the granddaughter and she loves it. Always asking when we’re going back to Havasu Papa

Time does go by quick. It wasn't long ago I was going to the street parade and my Dad was working. We'll as you have it I had to work today and my dad, retirement day 1 and for the second time 🤣, was at the street parade. He deserves it. He just finished an 18 month construction project for me. I think he's going to stay retired this time.

I should of went with them.
I missed a great opportunity for father daughter time. Instead I gave it to work.
Its unbelievable what we give up for "work" when you actually think about it.

Way too many times while my kids were growing up I traded time for money. First piece of advice I gave my oldest son when his was born was to not repeat my mistake. There's always time to make money. There's a time limit to making memories.

I had my 17 year old daughter and 3 of her friends with me last weekend, all crammed in the boat and my 1 bedroom condo. I questioned my sanity, but the girls were awesome and I got some time with my daughter. She's a lake girl for life I'm thinking, so glad we share a passion for boating. It goes by very fast, enjoy it while you can. She asked me 2 days ago if we can go to the lake this weekend, hopefully we spend many more years boating together.
