Annual physical, PSA evaluation every year, dermatologist annually and colonoscopy every 3-5 years. That's the minimum and shit can still happen but at least you have a chance of catching it early.

Girls hate mammograms.
Wife decided this time around to also try the newer more accurate less painful ultrasound.
Read that: More accurate.

Ultrasound results showed lumps the mammogram missed.
The soft lump usually not cancerous, the hard lumps often cancer.
Hard lumps. So the journey begins.
One sheet of paper in the records folder, it'll be 2" thick of paperwork by journeys end.

Sorry to read this. Hoping for the best.

I know a woman that had a similar experience and she cut out a lot of different foods that supposedly provided fertile conditions for the cancer to grow.
Worth looking into I think.

So sorry. Hope the journey goes well. My wife was diagnosed with breast cancer the same week Mikey Was diagnosed. They talked through the journey. Hers was tiny. Double mastectomy so hopefully it doesn’t come back. She feels some guilt that Mikey isn’t here and she still is. I guess I can understand that.

If you think living with a Pregnant wife is a touchy situation, a wife facing loosing her boobs, hair falling out and growing back ugly, brutal chemo and possible death is that X100.
Cancers cloud has once again cast it's shadow over our home.
We'll fight it.
Thanks for the kind replies.

My records starting in 2019. Will add new notes next week. I'll say a prayer for your wife. Giving up is not an option and it sounds like she's a fighter.

Going to a memorial today for my sister in-law. Lost her fight with lung cancer at 60. Nearly a two year battle and she was a non smoker.

Not many people I know that are more caring or generous with their time than she was. Always volunteering and helping others before herself. Hard to understand how or why certain things work out in life sometimes. Today will be hard for me, but even more so for my wife. They were more than sisters, they were best friends.

So true. THe wife had her 4th year MRI on Thursday. For anyone following our journey…..Good thing is that all is clear and now the MRIs will be every 9 months. This time of year is rough on her. I just bite my tongue and do what ever she wants despite if it does not make sense. It matter to her and I have no idea why but I just roll with it. 👍
