WTF? why did they tackle him?
I was guessing he was waiting to get through that blockade to get to work and decided to just check that backpack himself to get it over with.
It worked lol
Because he was a cyclistWTF? why did they tackle him?
You're on a roll today.Because he was a cyclist
I see what you did thereYou're on a roll today.
So am I the only who thinks that maybe the cops cheese grated his lips on the sidewalk because he may be trying to detonate something that didn't go off when he wanted it to?

LOL that guy just killed 45 guys daily overtime
Reminds me of the ankle deep water rescues in Scottsdale during the monsoon. 20 cops 6 fire stations responding to a van in 4” of water.
Everyone logs a call.
No. They can legitimately waste more time. Kinda hard to claim overtime when your asleep in the car.Is logging a call important somehow? Do they get more pay for logging more calls?

So, they get overtime when they go on calls? Aren’t there cops, bomb squads, and fire trucks on duty during the day?
If they are getting overtime when they are supposed to be there, that is total BS!

Calls logged legitmizes work levels and the need for more workers and equipment whether you need it or not. If you're always asking for more money then 'sand bag' the work level as a data point to help prove your case.
LOL Fire dept at the river was reporting double the true amount of calls by saying each vehicle that went to the scene was a call. Maybe that's why the fire engine follows the ambulance to a sprain ankle call?
When I sat down with the batallion chief in our area for lunch it was all about the numbers and how it translated into revenue.
From what I was told, Not the more they make, the more they can substantiate a bigger budget. In the case of Ambulance transport it does translate into making more revenue. Each transport means more revenue. Get your transport numbers up and make more $. I have 2 relatives in fire and LEO. How they capture overtime is nutty. NO private sector company would ever survive running a business like that.
Look Im all for supporting LEO and Fire to the max, its how the business end of it is run on taxpayers back is the issue here.
