Came into work on Tuesday and this was left in front of the dealership. I made jokes about it running out of battery power or the driver was drunk and got a ride home from the bar across the street. If he was drunk, would't this have enough technology to drive his drunk azz home? Two days later and now it would have freaked me out. It sat there all night, they came and got it after lunch. Crazy stuff.

Reports now say LV Cybertruck driver had taken a gun shot to the head prior to the truck blowing up. LV authorities are doing a good job. Truck had passed thru Kingman AZ. Correction - at this time LV authorities are doing a VERY good job.

I am thinking he was killed, thrown in the truck, self driving activated and then remote detonation.

I would think Tesla could provide info on the self drive to the hotel or not.

This is def not adding up AT ALL

Anything is possible, I suppose, but there sure are a lot of coincidences and weird circumstances with the two terrorist incidents. It’s unlikely I’ll be convinced by any report that comes out of this.

I agree, but anything that tech dependant can be hacked, and that's been proven. It will be messed up for his family if he was forced into being the fall guy, and really was a patriot type. Stuff like from the movies.

FWIW - When I lived and worked in Louisiana, it seemed elected political bureaucrats often held, and would retain, top law enforcement positions. Just seemed more the norm than what I’d experienced in other places.

Tesla has already said the truck was operating normally.

I'm thinking space lasers hit his brain and modified his thinking. Or maybe he ingested some kind of mind altering substance that was slipped into his chicken fingers order from Raising Cane's.

I've known a few people that have taken themselves out. Always a horrible experience for the friends and family. If this was the case, and very well could be, when did suicide start to involve taking others unknown to you with you? Like posted above, trying to make rational theories in regards to an irrational action is impossible.

I would say it worked well for Ted. His message reached millions of people despite his hermit lifestyle and adversity to using technology. The problem is few listened.


Thankfully we live in a place that allows us the freedom of movement and we can live for the most part in ways that make us happy. Last weekend I took Angie to Scottsdale for her birthday. We enjoy wandering around the arts district, and the western themed artist. We decided to check out the fashion district due to our curiosity and quickly realized it was not a place we were comfortable, so we retreated back to the southern districts.

I think we've become a little paranoid, but we have our head on a swivel in areas with a lot of people these days. My biggest concern is if we get separated, because while Angie is a master navigator on our trips, she lacks the ability to master her own sense of direction. I can retrace my steps or know which direction I'm headed using man made landmarks, but if Angie can't see a Mountain she is lost. I think that is why she likes the Rockies so much.

Down by the river ain't so bad either.

Every year I have less and less respect for members of the military. Events of recent years and the last 2 elections have me wondering how many nuts are in our armed forces. This is based on what we see in the news and observations of friends and family in the military.

I don't think we will ever see that unity post 9-11 again. It was all USA-USA when I deployed from NY in Feb 03, and we were baby killers by August of the same year. Look at the protest in NY yesterday.

Post 9-11 unity was all great and all until we realized that half the people were faking it from the start and the other half of us followed it way to far...
