I’d love to get a custom wagon for the kiddos, am having zero luck on where to actually buy one.
Anyone have info on where I can buy one, or a kit to modify one?
Looking for custom with suspension…everything I’ve found points to small companies who are no longer around.

Call Red Beard Wagon's at 714-869-8581. I bought one from him at the Rockabilly Fest last year. If I can find a pic I'll post it.

The parents of my friend’s Uncle used to sell custom wagons at swap meets in California. I’ll text my friend and see if they are still doing this. Web search was unsuccessful.

I built a simple one for my kids about 14 years ago. Nothing crazy other than bigger tires and a seat. It got more use than anything else we bought for kids.

Unfortunately this is capitalisms. People with skills sell their wears and everyone thinks they are easy and cheap.

Thanks for the replies and especially pics.
You guys are awesome.

I’d love for this thing to be 4-linked with coilovers…for dumb reasons, of course.

So I’m working with @lbhsbz who’s gonna fab it up, because I have zero fab skills. Prolly gonna cost me $1k+++ all-in LOL

But I do love the lowered rat-rod looking ones with racing slicks, and I think i can manage the mods for that one👍

I did one for my son 2 years ago. Bought a cheap harbor freight wagon, bought a strip of 1/4 aluminum flipped the front axle/pull handle and got some round stock and made a rear spindle set up. I'm into it for maybe $250

You found a solution, but I did check with my friend. Ended up he was having dinner that night with his uncle, so good timing. Unfortunately, the uncle said his parents were no longer doing the custom wagons. Bummer.

Thank you so much for taking the time to ask.
I truly appreciate it!

This is my sister laws company. They’re in the process of selling it, but she says she can hook you up. Lots of pictures on the site.

Two things to think about. Lowered wagons in crowded places are tripping hazards...could care less about a dork not paying attention at a swap meet, but if he fell on my kid, it could get interesting. I have a lifted one. They're heavy empty, loading and unloading...and more work to pull.

We used to pile all three kids in mine to walk the Christmas lights in our old neighborhood...the inclines were full cardio/mule team😰

Valid point, I have found that the lowered style like is did for my son is a pain in the ass because it bellys out on every little incline

I’ll get pics of mine soon. The tripping hazard:
I mounted a full-size dune flag on mine. Serves two purposes: friends can find me easier.
People don’t fall over the wagon much now.

These are so cool. Someone always has one at most of the campgrounds I go to. Are all these custom made?

Grandpa surprised Grandson CASH with a Hot Rod Wagon for his 1st birthday.

I was totally shocked as we had been talking about a wagon for Christmas, little did we know that Grandpa had been wrenching on this for almost the whole year quietly in the background.

Grandpa gave me the build pics to share. I'll document the build over in the custom section.
