Took my girlfriend and her daughter to my shack in Sunriver Oregon for a long weekend. Told the girl to go put some deer food out and whistle 3 times and some would show up. She didn’t believe me. About 5 minutes later a few appeared, so we went out to take a pic. About 30 minutes later we jumped in the truck to head to town, and the whole fkn heard was rolling in.

Setting it out for an hour or so the get to room temp will allow the meat to cook evenly. Good Thing

just an hour or two. if you don't bring to room temp. a thick steak will cook uneven.

We do an annual "friends, local river run" for the last few years. For those of us that have lost our mom's. Every year we release flowers in the river on the way back to commemorate our losses..

Always some tears shed, but always a great time!!
