Was looking for the current projects thread but my dumb ass couldn’t find it.
So here’s my DIY door entry way project.
Went from bullnose drywall similar to the first pic to an encased entry. Ya Ya I know we all can do it better but for my first time I’m quite pleased.

Little earlier today. Quick cash in 40 minutes. Still figuring this stuff out... anchored to the wall with a 5/8" drop in anchor. Decided to test how secure it was by pushing on the mast. Anchor popped out. Hammered the anchor back in and didn't fuck with it no more. Drilled 5" hole, 12" deep. Core is in lower left next to flashlight.

That's like 1 picture. Here's another one. Couldn't anchor to the stamped concrete and the vacuum base won't work on the stamp texture. Made myself a base plate I can park on. Still running the antique drill motor. What's going on here is the curb is damaged and needs to be replaced. I'm drilling relief holes in it and the backside will get dug out so it can be pushed inward for demo.

To me it looks like something from Robocop or the first Total Recall movie, to many angles the designer most have used a straight edge ruler.

Different strokes for different folks I guess but hey I drive around a 05 Dodge 2500 and I think the 67 Gt 500 has the sexiest lines of any car.😁

My wife's friend came into town so we decided to take a little ride out in the lake, first time using the riviera, I gotta say that is a super nice ramp.

...and Jessie the ramp guard was awesome helped my pregnant wife with a ride to the dock and back, think I'll be using that ramp from now on.

Been super busy with my son. He has developed a love for Baseball and skiing that's unreal. He made the Snow Basin ski team and has been going every Sunday. Had his first ski race and at 7 years old took 2nd in the 9U and 26th out of 106 kids ranging from 7 years old to 14.

Any tennis fans out there? We have the Indian Wells Tennis Gardens, which is the 2nd largest tennis stadium on the planet, right in our back yard, and the BNP Paribas open is considered the 5th Grand Slam along with the US Open, French Open, Australian Open, and Wimbledon. It's an awesome and festive international atmosphere, and I would highly recommend checking it out if you ever get the opportunity.

More importantly, my daughter is big into tennis and had ball kidded there for a bunch of years. She gets a couple ground passes each year, so wife and I are fortunate to check out a lot of really cool tennis when our daughter "grants" us the use of her extra passes...! Not included in her passes are seats in Stadium 1, so I broke down last nite and got a couple center court tix for the wife and me (it's also nice to not have to watch TV to see the kid in action...!).
