One of the coolest things about Baja is folks don't give as big a fuck about the little things....and we like our birds clean even though our vehicles and most everything else stays dirty

Flew into Havi this morning and knew Havi had a strange fog layer before I left home. I thought for sure in the 1hr it would take to fly there the fog would be gone. Missed that guess by about 20mins. The only fog left when we got there was directly over the airport. We just flew up river to do some sight seeing and let the fog burn off.

What/Where is that

Echo Lodge. There is a 2 inch clean out that runs between two rows of mobile homes. Every time the power goes out or they work on the well we get black water. Clogs up your home filters and water softeners. If we are here and know it we try to be proactive and flush the line.

Picture of my neighbors hose and mine side by side. He had already been flushing his via his hose. I just started. I stopped and just flushed the main line.

since you mentioned well water, is the black loose carbon granules from a carbon filtration device that's being purged ?

Doubt it. But possible. It smells bad. Here is the well. I think when the pump is turned back on it stirs up sediment in the folding tank.

And the storage tank.

And this is some type of water monitoring device according to a park worker.

Anybody collected a sample and had it tested ? I suppose if there's no attempt by the park or occupants to disinfect their lines during each re-occurrence, and nobody's reported suffering any illness, it's probably not riddled with harmful bacteria. I do know when I initially change my home's filters and replace the carbon cannisters, I get a bit of loose black carbon until it's been flushed some.
We only tend to drink bottled or RO filtered at Havasu or Home, regardless of it's published purity.

No one at our park drinks it. The park did have it tested. The tester said it was safe to drink... He was asked to drink some but declined. Because you can't live at the park (5 months only a year), we were told they don't need to supply potable water.

Mess with the bull you get the horns... Don't want to take on park management.

I was there. He's a freak. I have a buddy that works with Team Suzuki and the factory says he's a phenom
He jumped out in front and just kept gunning. Not much excitement after webb went down. Great night.

That's actually pretty damned funny that the water quality tester declined to drink it. That's peaks volumes. 🤣

Interesting on the water quality requirements, reminds me of a marina we used to slip our ocean boat at. The hose bibs at our dock boxes was more officially for washdown water. We knew it was best not to mess with that Bull either, not in that era when it was so difficult to find a boat slip, that you could sell anything that floated for big bucks just to get the slip it was tied up in.
