Annual Chino Derby last night. Really is tough to beat some good ole redneck fun.

Neighbors kid ran the FD car for the first time. I may have done it in my younger days. No chance now.

Me and lurker Jim weren’t the only RDP’r there.

There were more big ass wrecks than I’ve seen. Hard hits, cars put on their sides. Good stuff

Weathers been a little rainy this week but you can’t beat Waikiki for the sunniest weather. Looks like between the Moana and Royal Hawaiian. That is where we as kids hung in the summer sand surfing. Enjoy!!!!

First time at Rickety Cricket in Havasu, good vibe great beer

The wife and saw this establishment last week in town. I was wondering is this an offshoot from the one in old town Kingman?

Well since no one else searched I had to get my lazy ass up and do it. It is a second location of the Kingman joint. The fun part of this is that the MIL took us there a few times when we visited her in Kingman. Kind of cool since she was in her 70s and found it to a fun place. I will have to take the wife there when I get back to Havasu next week.

Our son just showed me a video from the Big Island waves crashing over a house this weekend. How is the quality of the Aulani? I hope that the quality has held up With bing a Disney property. I have a business contact looking for suggestions and that was one I was going to suggest to get away from it all. I have not bee out there since it has opened.

15’ sets in front of our place in Kona. Very odd for this time of year. Buddies staying at our place this week sent me video.

Water Coming up into the pool. In the video that’s the railing at our pool. Shits BIG water there right now. Only see it like this once every 5-8 years or more.

All these cars are vintage, I assume the Cheetah is from the 60's.

Really takes me back. My dad (RIP) built the OG cheetahs at Bill Thomas Race Cars in Anaheim in the 60's. Had restorers contacting him for advice his entire life.

After seeing one run at Riverside in the mid 60's (If I recall), my 16 yr old car loving ass thought the Cheetahs were so cool. Built a model of one and even had a slot-car track version.

I was riding my stingray around the pits in Riverside (mid 60's) to keep me out of the way of the race and pit work. Cheetahs were horrible handling cars unfortunately, but I still love the look. Still have a couple of slot cars myself.

Hell at that age I thought a suspension mod was reversing the shackles on my 57' Ford Wagon Didn't know they wouldn't handle.
