The building going up is a hospital. Its going to replace Palomar Hospital that's in the center of Escondido.

I've heard rumors about the hotel too but don't know anything about it.

They call it an "event space" but since this was from May, I have heard since that is actually the hotel with event halls.

All I can say is it has been too long since I have been down there.
