Something might be in the works.

I need a current list of boat transporters that some of y'all have used and trust!

What’s the going rate for a cross country haul? $3-5 a mile?

MotoShippers quoted $2 per mile to put my truck and boat on a flatbed and haul them both from Livermore, CA to South Carolina. Open trailer.

For large boats that are wide it’s 5.00 a mile..

I’m not sure about smaller boats..

What are the specs of what you want to haul?

CA to FL is 10 a go then. That’s hurts but then again if fueling the boat costs 3-5k that sounds cheap lol.

How did you make out with contacting Hop To It Towing?

That’s not bad. Was the recently or pre 2020?

That was a couple of days ago. I'm looking to ship in August. I thought it was a decent price. I can't get an answer out of Haul Away.

Following..

I’m under contract for a boat. It’s in Sarasota Florida however, it’s spent most of its life at LOTO. Survey came back good this Afternoon. Mechanical review scheduled for Thursday. If all is reasonably good, closing is next Monday with (hopefully) a pick up on Tuesday or Wednesday.

2,330 miles to Havasu. I’m getting quotes from $2.65 to $3.25 a mile fully bonded and insured for a 38 on a triple axle trailer. Many are brokered deals so I’m a little leary. That said, a few with numerous positive reviews.

I did talk to Jeff at Outlaw. Unclear at this point if he will be available to do it and, even though he is my preference, his price incorporates deadhead which puts it on the high end.

I have a few more calls to make tomorrow.

5/30/24 Edit: Spread is now $2.20 to $3.75 a mile. On the low end, they guarantee specific day pick up and delivery within 4 days and includes $1M all risk insurance. Not sure I believe them frankly. Seems really cheap.
