CSR kids day!

Hello All!

I have been fairly quite on RD's site for some time but wanted to throw this out there. My wife and I attended a special "kid's day" in HB yesterday and they raised a bunch of money for the kid's which was awesome! As allot of you know the week before the Catalina ski race they have the "CSR kid's day" at Marine Stadium, which I always attend. They have an auction at the Catalina ski race every year after the race, which all proceeds go to the CSR kid's foundation. So here is my challenge, I would like to see how many would be interested in donating to raise money for the auction? At the CSR race team 359 will take the donations and bid on one of the auction items with all donations going to the CSR kids foundation. The bid would be from Performance Transport team 359, and River Dave,s, ALL donation's go to the Kid's foundation! As far as what we bid on will be up in the air until race day as that is when you find out what was donated for bid but usually the last item is a flag signed and made by the kid's from "Kids day" the week before. My goal is to bid on the item, win it and than either give back to be re-auctioned or give it to RD or Performance Transport but will figure that out as I see were this goes. If I get enough interest I will set up a donation account where member's can directly deposit donations directly, which my wife and I will put in the first $500.00 and I will post at least a couple times a week as to the status of the CSR Kids Foundation fund all the way up to race day! It ALL goes to the CSR Kids foundation at the Catalina ski race at the auction for the kids. Donation info to come in the next couple days.

As I posted several days ago I am doing fund raising for the CSR Kid's Foundation. As most of you know I participate in the Catalina Water Ski Race every year with many friends and others that are part of this foundation. Part of the Catalina Ski Race is to raise funds for the CSR Kid's Foundation, first through a "kid's day" the week before the race, July 13th, which if you have a chance you should make time to attend. And second, at the race, they auction off donated items. The last item is usually something made by the kids from Kid's Day. ALL the money goes to the CSR Kid's Foundation! I am throwing this out there as a challange to see what we can raise from now until race day, July 21st! Everything that is raised will go to the CSR Kid's Foundation through the auction. So here is how it works and the challenge...the largest donator to this cause, business or individual, will be the recipient of the Kid's Day item that is won at the auction. One year it was a Kid's Day flag painted and hand stamped by the kids from Kid's Day. It may sound silly but it warms your heart! This is a great cause, Kid's Day is amazing and all the funds raised at the race will go to a great foundation! If you would like to be a part and donate, below is the info and please remember to get a receipt from the bank, as this is tax deductible.
Where can I donate? - Any BofA
Who do I make the donation too? - CSR Kids Foundation (see below for add'l info). Can be cash, check or money order.
For donations you will need the account number - not wanting to post that info on a public site! For this info send an e-mail to [email protected] with the "subject line" CSR Kids Foundation and I will get that to you promptly!
How will they know who donated and what they donated? When you e-mail for the account info please send your name or Business name and what you donated and I will keep track and make sure it all gets posted.
So all, there is the challenge! Lets make a difference! Great cause, great people that participate and GREAT kids!
