My 1 year stay in Florida a few years ago I noticed that pretty much everyone wears these things.

My wife works at a vet, and she can't understand why so many of the techs also wear them.

I'll never understand it, since I'll never own a pair. I'm a flip flops or work boots person. Every once in a while I'll wear some hey dudes.
