Lots of folks now take equipment home and do the sleep study at home in their own bed. All info is transferred electronically. You could do it whenever it is comfortable for you. But whatever it takes, get it done. It is life changing. And the new machines are very quiet, bed partners won't be disturbed after the finger pointing and laughter die down after the first couple nights. My doc says I chose the Tele Tubby mask, but is comfortable and doesn't limit my movement like masks of 10 years ago.
Be sure to hit up your electiricity provider for the discount for medical equipment in the home.

Sleep study at home. Not super easy to sleep with it on
Resmed cpap is likely what she gets.
I couldn't do the nose pillow. Full face for me.
Don't give up on it the first few weeks. It's not super easy to get used to.
But....now I'm asleep quick. I used to think no way not me.
Im glad I use one now

Same here. Wife thought a few times that I was dying when I stopped breathing numerous times..1st test for me was 16 events and hour ( no breaths)
Scary, Typical guy thing I thought That I was fine.

I have a resmed CPAP with nasal pillows. When I first used it I felt claustrophobic.. not anymore.Sleep all night and events are less than 2.

Can't complain other than going camping, use a mouthpiece with no machine.

Best of luck!

I bought a small Jackery battery. I can charge the phones when camping and it will run the Cpap for about 2.5 nights on a charge. Charges in the car during the day.

I have the Resmed but use a mask because I sleep with my mouth open. I also bought an Air mini for traveling.
I wake up with the hose wrapped around my neck occasionally.

My ex-wife used to tell me she’d watch me not breathe for about 10 seconds when I was sleeping.

I just did a sleep study at home last week. It was a ring that I wore all night which measured HR and O2. It uploaded to the cloud and I’ll get my results later next month.

Looking forward to sleeping through the night finally.

I use Resmed over mouth under nose. During my test I was having 55-59 apneas a hour and now
.8-1.3 per hour. Face hurts some mornings but I know it helps me.

I have used CPAP for probably eight years. I’ve had several sleep studies. I’ve done the home studies where you put monitors on your chest and other areas of your body with like a little very uncomfortable, but not as accurate as going in.
On my last sleep study to get a new machine I couldn’t sleep at the place whatsoever and I finally fell asleep for maybe 15 minutes and the girl came in and told me I probably need to sleep like start breathing deeply or whatever and fake that I’m choking so the machine can get the readings it needs so I get a new machine.

I did just that and believe it or not passed and got a new machine. They seem to coach or assist with what needs to be done whereas the study at home showed I got more sleep, even though I did wake up and have several events. It wasn’t enough to qualify for a new machine.

Plan on losing a whole day worth of sleep unless you’re a type of person who can sleep anywhere when doing this test.

I have a CPAP machine that I use every night. I thought it would be difficult to get used to it.... it took 2 nights for me. My wife, kids and friends can all tell (without be asking) that I have a ton more energy. Now.... if i fall asleep before I put it on... I can tell in the morning... feel not so good and my body is not rested. Never could "feel" or understood that there is a huge difference in a rested body.
Sleep test was easy.... mine was through Kaiser.....
