I can neither confirm or deny that coyotes seem to disappear around my place. As we say in my hunting circles, mind your S's. Shoot, shoval, shut up!!

Cheers, Steve

Our huge turkey vultures take care of business/disappearances 😬
Where I live, the coyotes aren’t bold because they usually meet their demise swiftly. Now, wild dogs.... They are vicious and will attack you when you are riding a quad or a sxs or least expect it.

Where are you located?

Ontario.

The coyote issue was a topic at our annual barbecue in Lakewood yesterday. One of my buddies recently had one in his backyard in Whittier Hills, he chased it off and was amazed when it easily scaled his 6' fence. I guess our pets are at greater risk than I first thought...

You peeps need to invest in some 10/22 Super sonics or learn to shoot archery , wifey could stick them at 65 yds no problem or we could go 45/70 but I think we would need to clean the neighborhood 😎

Similar attacks here in Torrance. Old lady playing tug of war and the yotes win and run off with there little dogs. My GF has a little multipoo. Always warn her when she lets it out to go potty. Trying to get her to keep 1 of my pups here to deter them. It has gotten really bad lately. Not many outdoor cats left.

Just got back from the river. Friends we were with used to live in lomita. Came home to one of there dogs eaten in there house. Just the head left. Now they have a Cane Corso.

Coyote are nothing new in Whittier. They are not scared off easily by people. They will side skirt around you but usually will not not and run. We have few cats left and most people bring their dogs in at night.

Utah's predator control program
The predator-control program provides incentives to remove coyotes.

The DWR predator-control program provides incentives for hunters to remove coyotes. Participants receive up to $50 for each properly documented coyote that they kill in Utah.

Problem meets solution. AND There's an App!...

Coyote Bounty Reporter smartphone app
Use the app to record each coyote take

Beginning July 1, 2021, you must use the Coyote Bounty Reporter app to submit coyotes for compensation. You will still be required to check in the scalp and lower jaw at a designated check-in station

Didn't one of those go after a woman on a beach down there recently?
yes in P Town. followed her around on the beach, and she swam out to a nearby boat to get away. It was a smaller one, but still fearless.
