About a year ago I had Covid. Kicked my ass, wife had a bad cold, kids brought it home and had the sniffles. I figure mine may have been worse from my lungs being abused by chemicals, but have no clue...
Now, here's what I mean about lasting effects: Three times this year I've caught a cold. That by itself is pretty weird. Here's the weirder part, all three times, about the second day, I end up with a pinkeye situation. It must be viral. The normal prescription drops for it are for bacterial. I can take anti-inflamatories and it helps, as does cold medicine. WTF?

Now, I've had normal pinkeye. Once as a little kid, 5 or 6, and once in high school. I was a year round club swimmer for years, and that's kind of a notorious group for it. Twice in 45 years, now 3 times this year? and a different type? It seems really odd, as I don't interact with but maybe a handful of humans, the same humans, a day.

Anyone else notice some weirdness?

At times I still smell jet fuel or an odd variation of diesel fuel when there are no Jets 😂 or diesels anywhere to be seen. Also the smell of rotting flowers at random times... and yes I shower and wear clean clothes so it's not me😁

My covid situation wasn't very bad, but I've definitely noticed the last couple called I've had since then had been just as bad as the covid I got, and it just lingers in my chest. I can still beat the cold pretty fast but then I'm stuck with the lingering chest congestion for way longer than I ever really remember in the past.

Maybe nothing, because I know a lot of the stuff going around right now is respiratory.

Sucks too because I finally started exercising a lot more regularly, and it seems every time I get into a groove I'll get a cold that just hangs in my chest and I can't breathe and the last thing you want to do is work out when you can't breath.

it’s been well over a year. My smell is still jacked up. Shit and farts smell sweet or no smell at all. Some scents are muted and some are exaggerated. My taste pallet has also gotten weird. Things I used to love eating aren’t appealing anymore or don’t taste the same.

Weed also has this weird smell that hard to describe.

A year later, I get whiffs of cigarette smoke throughout the house. I've even accused my other half of having a smoking gigolo hiding in the closet.

Can’t speak for long term, been sick since Monday, tested negative (husband takes care of his mom who has Alzheimer’s & dementia, couple days a week) figured it was the “flu”. Tested positive today after getting a horrible sore throat ☹️Unscathed for 3 years……….
I feel like a truck hit me.

My wife still has pretty messed up sense of smell.... she can smell some stuff, and not others... sometimes comes and goes, but has not been the same since she caught the Rona.

Personally i didn't get any long lasting side effects. The 2nd time i tested positive i had extremely minor symptoms of WuFlu but did get shingles simultaneously, shingles suck. Thank god it was just a small area.

My GF on the other hand is going on a year with fucked up taste/smell. She says she continually gets the smell of rotting onions.

I'm about 1 year out from having it full blown where i was quarantined at this point,

Hmm, I had shingles for the first time this summer. That sucked balls. Small area, but hurt like a mf.

Yep my only time having shingles. I had bad chickenpox in probably the 4th grade
I had them real bad in 8th, 30+ years with lots of stress and other stuff. Gardening this summer and bang, hit me. Weird.

First time I got it January 2020 for a solid year and a half any kind of plants/flowers smelled like burning plastic. I also felt like I had mono and was always tired for nearly a month.

Luckily it finally went away.

Just got it again a couple weeks back and it was more like a 3 day flu. Headache and congestion but no fever or loss of energy.

There are people on my groups that were infected in March of 2020 that still have symptoms. "Long COVID" is definitely a thing. lingering spike protein in immune cells is likely

Shingles are common from both the vax and people that have had COVID. The spike reactivates all kinds of shit that is dormant in your body. Lime disease, EBV etc... When I started my treatment for the vax injury the doc tested me for all kinds of reactivated stuff as well as an autoimmune panel.

My wife had been smelling "burning plastic" for months, and a "chemical taste", both for at least 6 months. Her taste is still off, so we pretty much have all new recipes for dinners now. Not bad, just different.

I had covid for the 2nd time last week. Took my ivermectin and it was done in 2 to 3 days. Still a little stuffy but no big deal

The ivermectin crushes the symptoms within a day.

Funny how the NIH now officially lists Ivermectin as one of five antiviral treatments lol

Never vaxed. Had it real bad in the beginning, like Feb 2020 before it really kicked off here. Was down for a solid 5 days. Full blown fever/runs/cough.

Did Iver, actually the Apple flavored horse wormer rofl! Fixed me right up, was stupid to wait for 4 days. Cured me in 2 days.

Ever since had various flu or cold symptoms, but relatively light compared. When it was full blown shutdown, I was still smoking cigs and keeping a BAC of .01 daily!

Cleaned up off grits in June 2020, but have maintained a pretty steady BAC. Had a few colds, with pretty bad coughs, but still able to cope.

Nothing like the first whack. Still noticing food flavors changing and altered scents - smelling cigs etc but no one smoking...but that is all gone for a year now.

Hope you all keep healing!
