Wonder if an EV car was out there:

Incident Update 2/16/24 - At 5:40 a.m. this morning the Rancho Cucamonga Fire District received reports of heavy smoke in the area of the I15 freeway north of Ontario Mills. Additional calls came in reporting multiple vehicles on fire at Copart, a car auction facility, located off of Arrow Rte. and the I15 freeway. Upon arrival, crews found approximately 10 vehicles involved in fire. Firefighters worked quickly to extinguish the fire, preventing the fire from extending to other vehicles. There were no injuries reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.

It begs the question, where will EV's go to die? It's not like they can just easily pull the battery and put it out to pasture. Hybrids have been out long enough to see the scrap yard, are they abandoned to pick your part?

They will come up with a special disposal tax on all vehicles like they do for tires and monitors. Somehow we will all get screwed.

I don't think " we" will get screwed. The Sheople will get the full experience of jumping in with both feet without considering rami factions. The sooner the better, humanity truly needs some darwinism self adjustment.
