Coolant leaking from the Duramax...

Got home from DS and notice a nice coolant leak from the front of my engine, probably the waterpump. 2004 Duramax with 115k on it.

Oh yay....

I'm guessing a grand to fix??

You sure it's not tranny fluid? Mine was leaking and I thought it was the Dex-cool antifreeze until looking closer and turned out my tranny cooler was leaking from the rubber gasket.

Did mine last year, 1200 bucks! The parts are cheap but you have to pull the harmonic balancer to get to one of the bolts.

I found a dealer to do the water pump for $600.00 so check around. Job is a pita so I didn't want to do it myself.
