Heading to Glamis in 11 days for our annual spring break trip. Going to be about 3 weeks on the road/camping. 10 days in Glamis.🤙
We like to stay at a camp ground on the way out of Glamis to hook up, shower, do some laundry, dump tanks and swim. We've been doing Glamis North but want to try something different.
Stopping in Phoenix to vist my brother in law on the way back to Denver.

Any recommendations on a nice camp ground between Glamis and Phoenix? Would like to be on the river if possible.
Ohv access is not necessary. But I would bring the dirt tires if needed.
I don't mind going out of the way a little.

Blythe at the 10 fwy and river sounds like what you want. There is one on az side north of bridge and one just south on ca side.

I stayed here a bunch ages ago. Always had fun. Looks like they changed the name?

Stayed here on our way back from Phoenix picking up our new trailer. The pull thru spots under the solar panels are unique. I'd definitely stay there again.

if You don't mind out of the way abit, Lake Alamo State Camp Ground or Wayside Oasis RV park, about 25 to 30 miles north of the 60 on the way to Phoenix.
Miles and miles of good off road trails out of those parks.

Off the beaten path……

You can camp north of Wickenburg, along a river that has several places that offer organized “gold panning”. I forget the names. Your twins will find it fun. Other inmates probably can give more details.

My daughter went ”gold panning” with her soccer team. The gold panning place provided the pans. I think they offered other stuff too. There are lots of campgrounds in this area.

Walters is super cool.
It's about 10-ish miles in on a graded road.
I've never had a problem towing my little boat with a 2wd truck . . . I take my time cruising at about 10 mph.
I just slum-it and dry camp in a tent, or in the back of my truck . . . so I'm not hip on what's available for RV / Hookups & amenities.
Bathrooms/ showers are fine, and clean enough for me.
The general store has the basics.
If no one is there, they leave a walkie-talkie in a box next to the door . . . pick it up and call 'Tabitha' she runs things and is super cool.
Not a whole lot there . . . that's why I like it.
Probably best to call ahead and ask any questions you may have . . . would be a bummer if you got there and it wasn't what you were looking for.

There's a couple 'pads' (with no hook ups) right at the waters edge . . .

Here's the general store / launch ramp . . .

Their version of a 'Ring' . . . LOL

You can stay at Hidden Lake in Buckeye. The ADBA holds races there and it’s a wedding venue with RV camping.
