Looked like a really nice boat with some power in it. Shame the water dropped on them while it was moored. ImageUploadedByTapatalk 21369795160.893707.jpg

Nice looking boat, I agree.:thumbsup

Question:

Is everything ok with the drive sitting like that? Is that causing any damage to anything? Or when the water levels come up, just lower the drive, start up and go..?????

No damage. The drive is fine. It gradually settled as the water went down. When the water comes up the will push it off no problem as long as the release is the same amount. the only thing id do is while floating go back to the lower pick ups on the drive and use my hand to help get sand out of them before i fire it up and suck alot of sand in and ruin an impeller.

that looks like moabi. The water starts to go down mid afternoon and takes a while to drop to morning levels. Id bet it was still daylight when it got to this point. People adjust there boats alot toward the end of the day off the beach.

I'm not familiar with that area or it's water levels at all, but depending on what time of day that pic was taken, how many hours will that Conquest have to sit like that?

Water level usually starts to come up around 10 am id say by 2 or 3 would be the time to start gettin it off.

That would be my question as well. I have spent a lot of time at Park Moabi as well as further up river. I have never seen a drop in water level that early in the afternoon. I have done a few night floats above Big Bend State Park as well as down at Moabi, never an issue. More info is needed. If the water level dropped that early in the late afternoon that sucks.
If it was left overnight, it is what it is. :rolleyes

Seen this more than once up there. Need to pay attention, water is usually up in the morning and drops throughout the afternoon.

This has been my experience. They let it out of the Dam starting at noon or 1:00 PM. The current of the River is about 5 - 7 miles and hour so calculate from Laughlin to Moabi, bout 2:00 - 2:30 PM and stays high late into the evening.

i put in at the RV park thing at the top of parker once at like 11pm. drove down to the casino and back and couldnt get the boat back on the trailer. water had dropped at LEAST 2-3 feet in that what... 30-45 minutes it took to go there and back?

The top of Parker fluctuates a little more then the south end. Down by the keys it moves about 4-5 inches at most (drops at night)

Park Moabi has it's highest water level in the morning, which is the opposite of Laughlin.

I have on many occasions had to go tits deep to get my Sun glasses first thing in the morning at Park Moabi when the afternoon before it was ankle deep.

I can almost guarantee the boat owner will never let that happen again. He will probably anchor in the middle of Thompson's Bay from now on. :D
