Connelly Wake Special + Endos

With some help from a friend, I was able to rescue this 71” Wake Special from the IE and it’s back in Long Beach now! The Endo’s sticker was the icing on the cake! We actually have the same exact ski that stays at the river, but I’m so stuck on my glass Maha 360, that I haven’t tried the Wake Special yet. Gonna have to give this one a go at Marine Stadium next week!

That's either a Murdoch, or possibly more likely an Endo's version of the Murdock since it has the sticker on it. That's why I said don't remove the sticker. I have a set of Endo's bindings that are still on my Maha race ski.

Here's a photo of an old ski that was sitting in the shed. My brother was going to use his Maha race ski to make some type of wind chime out of. I brought him this ski to use instead of trashing the Maha.

The "island" in the original photo was the clue, along with the light colored wood. I would still consider keeping the sticker on it. Is the Murdoch logo engraved into the ski? Not sure I have seen one like it.

I can't say for certain. I need to take it out in the sunlight and shoot a pic.

I was heading your way when I was accosted by the Chief. After our Pow Wow I noticed my tire was flat so I went back home.

Next trip to Blythe I'll try to remember to grab the Maha.

From the photos, looks to me like it was sprayed on in metal flake, even looks to have a shadow under it. Maybe/probably a one off deal, I don't recall seeing any others like it.

didn't see this til now, I did swing by your place but you were gone. Be back in 2 weeks, maybe I can check that ski out then.

Finally ski'd my Wake Special and for me, it just wasn't that special. It didn't feel as planted as my 360, and although the stock bindings are garbage, I don't even think throwing some Wiley's on it would fix how squirrelly it felt. For now, it's a wall hanger and I'd consider selling the second one I have if anyone is interested?!
