As others have said, Mercury IS the worst.
We have State Farm. And I don't pay anything for my kids to drive my cars.
Hard to get much better than that!
What state are your cars licensed in? Each state has different rules. I know in CA, with SF, my son had to be a named driver on one of our cars in order to be insured. Once he moved away for college and was over the age of 18 I was able to drop him, since he became a Colorado licensed driver and no longer was a full time residence at our house.
Also my policies at SF date back to 1986, so we have every discount they can offer and have never heard of being able to allow a minor child (under 18) drive a car without being insured.
