Compression release? for my Generator ?

I Have a 5000 wt Generac pull start . Had a power outage this am and had to fire it up .....Alas the wife could never do this in a pinch Anyone know of a compression release for four stroke gas motors ?

How exactly would that work? wouldn't you have to drill and tap the head to get a compression release into it?

Run these on my wife's chopper. Big cubic inch motor. You can find cheaper versions on the web, and yes you drill and tap the head.

Tom I went through this a few years ago with my wife. PGE up here...like a 3rd world country, power was out 16 times in 2022.
I gave up on the rope start with her, we bought a Honda EU6500, used a Honda powersports card, 90 days same as cash.
I know they are big bucks now, but the thing is awesome, quiet, and sips gas.
Might be worth the $ for you guys. Electric start pull start backup.

I just told her to start working more on those "guns" she's developed and got her some starter fluid 😅 (seriously thanks for the info)

A few of my older dirt bikes had a simple lever that slightly lifted an exhaust valve off it's seat.
