Can't see it eitherCouldn’t see the video, but the still pictures hurt to look at.
Yikes! That could’ve been a lot worse.
Yup, Even with a rudder (which most jet boaters dont want) whereever the boat was headed at throttle "cut" is where its gonna goTextbook case of off throttle steering loss.

Saw this on tiktok. Shows the damage. Were the passengers ok?
Apparently no serious injuries although I bet his wife never gets in that thing again. Haha
She's likely to have some leg scrapes as well as some whiplash in lower back or neck. She moved forward on impact quite a bit. What a pucker moment. So lucky no other people or boats were involved. That area is typically packed with boats, people etc.
Technically speaking...true.Jet botes sux.
That was lack of talent there.Technically speaking...true.
Unfortunately shit happens in all types of boats, even row boats I suppose just much slower.
That was lack of talent there.
Yep they don't like throttle chopsThat big ol blower motor was awful quiet...
Have a bunch of 100 mph boats around here and we don't come into a populated areas like that. It stalled when he lifted and then the ride.

From what has been posted here in both threads, sounds like he hit a roller after making a u-turn, lost power and hooked that direction.Glad they were OK. That passenger got rocked when the boat hit the wall.
Was he coming into shore that fast and lost power, or did the boat hook towards shore after he lost power? Just curious.
Lots of clowns on the big social media pages talking shit. Those are the same clowns that run rental PWCs into shit because they don’t know how jets work…Such an unfortunate situation for this couple. The short video show just enough for the keyboard warriors to come out, speculate and post some rude, belittling comment with zero knowledge of what actually caused the accident. If any of you follow RDP on facebook, I was the one who made the post calling all those who made jokes of it "fucking assholes". I regret using profanity but I am tired of the lack of decency and compassion. We should all strive to be better humans. Not a single one of us would appreciate seeing those comments if it were us in that situation.

There are no “accidents “, just reasons that cause things to happen. Glad to see no one was seriously hurt and hopefully the boat can be repaired.

Rudders on jet boats are largely ineffective because they have nothing to turn against like forward mounted turn fins and a small surface area back of the transom.I see a rudder added to his place diverter in the future. Iv'e only seen this on family boats but not in performance jet boats. Does it really create that much drag? I'm asking becuase I'm not a jet boat guy, I never plan on owning one either. I always call jet boats "converters", they convert gas to noise before they get on plane.
So, it’s a marketing gimmick or maybe low speed maneuverability? I know that jet boats at low speed wander around like Stevie Wonder in a super market.Rudders on jet boats are largely ineffective because they have nothing to turn against like forward mounted turn fins and a small surface area back of the transom.
