Money right there... that's my flavor but I like them a little thinner.
I like the opus, but for the price, id rather have a don carlos and save the extra dough for cervesas……..
Arturo Fuente is one of the best, Cuban or non......all up and down the line, they are quality...………..construction wise, cuba could learn a thing or 2 from them.....and the upper end of the lines are just as good flavor wise, sometimes better

One of my guys at work gave me this box the other day. Obviously fakes. His aunt gives them to him. They typically smoke OK but not like the real ones. My old office mate went to Havana on a Baseball Scholarship and came back with a few hundred cigars that he bought at the factory. He ended up getting colon cancer... and gave me his entire stash. So at least I have something to compare these to. View attachment 766859
the hotels in cuba offer custom rolls that are rolled at the hotel in front of you and branded by name of the roller, usually...…..they are hit and miss tho………...got some johnny o's from 2013 that were awesome, so I got some more when a forum buddy went last year……...they were not.....just like Cuban name brands...…...some years great, some years flat......kinda like wine

Recently returned from a short trip to London and found these for you Vic.

Took a picture so you could order some. You need to be comfortable when you are having a nice cigar. :)

yes...…...as does the Hemmingway...…..love the Hemmingway signature
the short story is a gar that almost everyone enjoys......I prefer the Maduro, but they also come in Maduro, cameroon, and a barber pole version...…...both Maduro and Cameroon called between the lines

I have a box of no3 don carlos that I have yet to open......I buy faster than I smoke, but if you get the right boxes, time is our friend......especially with most Cubans

very good stuff coming from Honduras and Nicaragua...….and almost all cigars made now are from Cuban seed, just grown elsewhere after they nationalized the cigar industry in cuba…..and grown in volcanic soil like cuba….that is the key

when cuba nationalized the cigar industry, the families of the growers picked up shop and moved with their seeds....that's why you have 2 cohibas, 2 montisristos, 2 Romeo y juliettas......and pretty much all others...….

now, with the age of the internet, you can purchase from vendors in other countries.....ihavanas.com, cigarsofhabanos.com, and cubanlous.com are the main shops I use, as well as cigar forum members in the industry that make regular trips to cuba…...they take, on average, 10-14 days...…...and if they get pinched at customs(doesn't happen much anymore with the easing of embargo), wait 30 days, and they send you a new box free of charge...……...and funny thing is, when they do get pinched, our gov sends them back to the vendor.....lol.....never had one pinched...……..most of those shops are from eu, hong kong…...there are many more, but just make sure they are an authorized habanos SA dealer and you'll be good

I’m actually really happy to see this thread still going and info pouring in. I had one of these from my Canadian buddy. Wasn’t my favorite but everyone else went and ordered a box...

I like some of the rocky patel stuff...….and not pricey either...…...the decade is good while young, and I also like the edge Maduro...…..they kind of fall off tho with age.....I have some decades with a few years on them and I will revisit every once and awhile...….but I think they are more of a smoke young type.....
