Picking up a new boat in Spokane and would like to water test and camp in Coeur d’Alene any suggestions? I would prefer a nice campground with a full hook up.

I have no recommendation, but I’ve been there and it’s an awesome place when the weather is in season!

Haven't been there but have had a few friends move to that area and they love it. My old jet skis are in that area also with the new owner. Please post pictures and a review of the Area.

2 things

1- what are you buying?

2- there is a speed limit on the lake, and our experience last summer with the law enforcement was less than pleasant!

Blackwell RV Park on the lake

This! Right on the Spokane river near the mouth of the lake. Close to the CDA resort and downtown. You can boat a little ways down river (west) in the morning and hit a great breakfast spot, Le Peep Cafe.
Weather is getting better with each day. Showing low 70's end of next week. When are you going to be in town?

Upper left circle = Le Peep
Middle - Blackwell Island RV
Bottom = CDA Resort

Lincoln Way. It's "the" 95 south from "the" 90, assuming yore talking about Blackwell.

Yes, our lakes and rivers have speed limits. The speed limit on lakes is 50 mph during the day, and 20 mph during twilight and dark. On rivers, the speed limit is 35 mph during the day, and also 20 mph during twilight and dark.

Thanks everyone!

You've got me beat! I'd be lucky to get 40...

speed limits..up in Sandpoint between the bridges I cracked the raysoncraft open, a nice comfortable 85 mph, it appeared no one was around, then I noticed the sheriff out in the bay through the bridge. I shut it down and coasted to a stop, the sheriff turned toward me. It was like a dirty harry staredown. Seemed like an eternity. I decided to idle my way up and and accept my punishment. I cruise up to the sheriffs boat and say "my speedometer is broken, how fast was I going" she responds "no idea, my radar won't shoot through the bridge"

We have property on lake pend oreille North of sand point in hope. Dude runs a sick cigarette gladiator up that run. Runs 100 across the lake all the time with basically dry pipes.

I bet trestle creek closed 15 years ago...Bottle Bay used to be nice also. Back in the day Kirkpatricks had a nice little bar and grill out in Sunnyside also. Trestle creek was a funny deal at the RV park, they had plans to put condos there and dredge pack river to ferry people up to the BK golf course. Should have checked with EPA and DEQ before they bought it..oops

Back on the original thread, remember that dead heads haunt spring waters in north Idaho. spring run off flushes them out.

Well that ends my looking to move to Idaho , if I can get out of California .

Speed limits .

Next

It's a different boating world up here. Mostly runabouts and wake boats with the occasional "go fast" boat mixed in. I've seen a few DCBs, Nordics, and Eliminators up here.

I have a house here in Oregon on Lake Billy Chinook thats a nice mix of basic lake boats, go fast Dcb's, Eliminators and a new MTI 34 and of coarse pontoons. I do have to say I hate the surf boats though.

I would take it up the Bayview on Pend Oreille.

Yes, I love Lake Pend Oreille......no speed limits and a huge deep lake, one of the deepest in the U.S. The Navy still has a base there and they test new concept submarines there all the time. Beautiful lake. Watch out for the sea monsters.

Hayden and CDA lakes get up in the low to mid 70's in the peak of summer. There's a couple smaller shallow lakes that get warmer.

We're ready to break out the wetsuits and go have some fun.

Back in our younger days, the ice was off Pend Oreille, it was late March and my friend Roy Jones had water skiing fever. We were pretty good skiers, rarely ended up in the water. So we launched the boat and I asked, do you want to take off from the sand? No I will go from the dock. He got all ready had about a 4' belly of rope, yells hit it, jumps off the dock, a perfect slalom landing in the water, leans back , just starts to cut across the wake, and BAM, the rope breaks. I can bare witness that Jesus isn't the only one that can walk on water. Guess we should have inspected the rope. Damn that was funny. Water was probably about 40 degrees.

Not enough.
I only got stopped for it once in many years of breaking the legal limit.

I had more issues with a fire on the beach during a no fire time. Who would think the sheriff would come out to the monarchs at two in the morning and spot light us and tell us to put the fire out. Luckily we weren't midnight tubing or skiing.

you know that big block wall on the side of the highway in Hope on the Sandpoint side is there because bodies were falling out of the graveyard. Hope was a city of about 5000, mostly Chinese when they built the railroad.

This is interesting to me.

I dont believe these to be "hump back", but these are also 32s. When I got the boat (25 Daytona with 300x) it had 28 Bravos on it. I recieved the clevers with the boat, but didn't think they would swing the 32s so I didn't try them until an outboard guru told me to try them. BOAT HANDLED WAY BETTER with the clevers over the Bravos!

That all said, what's the next step? I know prop technology has come a long ways since these were built! I'm certainly open to trying something different, but I want it to be an educated guess!

Bullhead Bully
Rev
Lake Pal
Guy with green Talon (not good with names)
Guy with new Liberator (same as above)
WALT- you know the boat. I need to call you and ask some more questions!
OD1

The list goes on! There has to be some new shit around that makes this old junk work even better!!!!

My boat is getting shipped home this week to here in Oregon. I'd love to try some new shit this summer! Current setup is 25 Daytona ICC, walkthrough open bow, twin 300XS with Stage 1 DBR kits.
