I was charged with filing a false police report when I was 20, total B.S. I never gave a statement only my witnesses did. I just guess the Glendora cop had a hard on for me because I called him a dick after he called me a liar. Long story short, was charged, my attorney and witnesses embarrassed the cop and Ira Reiner at trial and I won. When we tried to file charges against the officer and sue(sp) my father just said to me let it go.

Amazing story. I have a friend who is currently in a custody battle and it is ugly. He has definitely been treated as guilty while having to prove his innocence. The system can be a little harsh at times and it truly pays to have a good lawyer.

Scary.

The story brings back memories...I lived in Dallas and my ex-wife lived in Houston. She was such a cunt about visitation with my son that every two weeks I flew to Houston Hobby, rented a car and drove to her apartment, picked up my son, and returned to Dallas. On Sunday evening I did the same to take him back. It cost almost a grand a month. She refused to take him to the airport.

I documented every single thing my ex-wife did for over a year before filing to get custody of my then nine year old son. She was a drunk and a terrible mother. It cost almost twice my annual salary to pay the attorney...one of the best in Dallas.

He went home with me.

Now almost twenty years later, she lives nearby and babysits my three year old grandson occasionally. She has a pool, and I'm scared shitless he will drown while she is watching TV and drinking.

It's fucking stressful...I wish she was far away.

When he called the police on her, she started cutting and scratching her chest and arms. When the police arrived she told them that he had assaulted her.

After being treated like a woman beater by the cops, and jail mates, he was released and filed charges against her. She admitted to lying and she's now doing time.

I'm serious, check those things out, they cover all kinds of shiat. Mine covers assault, wrongful arrest, slander, libel.....the things are nutty in the coverage they offer.

In my line of work, I get a ton of custody battles disguised as child abuse cases. It takes as much time, manpower, resources and bullshit to unravel those cases as it does to prosecute the real ones. Occasionally, however the DA will charge them with filing a false police report, depending on the amount of trouble we had to go through to get her to admit she was lying. Some of them just won't though, no matter how stupid they look.
