Trump as president could declassify documents while in office. Biden, not president at the time, he collected documents [ possibly some of it connected his son's dealings in UkraineBurisma scenarios ] should not have had classified documents while VP. Trump has been visited and told to put a padlock on his storage room, I think he made a mistake not tell who was there at the time to take the bloody documents and shove it. Clearly , that first visit was for a set up for later actions, to frame to raid on his private residence. Joe didn't have his documents at his residence, knowing the situation could bite him in the ass in the future, obviously have better lawyers and advisors than the republicans. I can't fathom how inept some so called people in high positions could be, it's almost laughable.

In the Tom Fitton FOIA case on Clinton records against the DOJ, by thier own admission in court they argued successfully that President's are the final arbiters of classification, and that case sets legal precedent.
