I know there’s a few guys with hot rods on the forum. Who are you guys using for insurance?

I've used Hagerty and Chubb...for stated value.
I have all my other stuff with Farmers, and they have a classic division with stated value. Saved me 60-100/month to use Farmers bundled in with all my other things. Worth it to call and get a quote from your current policy holder for your home owners/car ins.
If that doesn't work, Hagerty was pretty good.

I use American Family for my home and cars - They also insure my 66 Cobra replica for a very reasonable rate, stated value policy. This reminds me that I probably should review the stated value as I think my car has appreciated over the last few years.

Nice 67. Haggerty, I believe their policies include earthquake insurance, mine does and I didn't ask for it.

… Oh damn… I haven’t received a bill from 21st-century in a long time on my Buick Centurion convertible in the garage… it may not be insured… I had better call them…

Hagerty can eat a bag of dicks.

They insured my 66 for agreed value. Got a cancellation letter about 2 weeks after that.

“Too much horsepower”

Isn’t a 66 Resto Chevelle pretty much right in their wheelhouse?

My homeowners took it. Auto-owners policy is a better policy and only 220 a year.

How much is too much horsepower…?

This LS2 is “built” but it’s nothing crazy…

Just 900. And I’m always honest with insurers. They’ll find out if I was dishonest and not pay out

Find an insurance broker as opposed to an insurance agent.

Then shop around for the insurance company that can best insure the risk as you want it insured.

After Chubb for years, I now have Cincinnati as Chubb does not appear to want to underwrite collector cars at current values.

Was with Hagerty, price just kept climbing. Now with American Collectors, stated value, in CA.
For me it was the ability to drive the car, some limit where (car show, parades).

Been with Grundy for around 40 years. Agreed value with very little limitations on driving (no commute to work or school, must be garage kept).

I just added this '71 SS 454 El Camino, T400, 12 bolt 4.10 Posi to my fleet.

how does Grundy feel about lifted vehicles?? Hagerty has a 4" limit. I've been trying to get my Ex off my standard policy for a couple years now but Hagerty won't take it

I am with Grundy. I’ve had a few claims, and they’ve taken good care of me. Stated value and a good price.

Nice ride!

I have Grundy, stated value on my '67. Haven't had to use them, but my buddy has Grundy and they have taken care of him without issue on a few claims over the years. Good pricing too, VS Hagerty.

Perfect. The stated / agreed value part is my biggest concern with this thing.

I don't know. Never had a lifted vehicle insured with them. I have this '79 Blazer (6" lift on 35's) that's been a back burner project so not insured. I'll try to put it on Grundy when I get around to it so I guess I'll find out.
