@FlyByWire or anyone else that might know the answer to this question. My wife asked me to reach out about a question about payment of a ticket. She has been following up to make payment for a ticket that has a deadline of Monday, yes in two days. Each time that CHP has been contact they have noted to pay it when you get a notice in the mail. There has not been anything in the mail. They have also commented just come on down and make the payment. The issue is that we are not in CA or we would do that.

Thanks in advance and if more info is needed let me know.

Issue is that no ticket was given. Some how there was a notice in the mail but the ticket. It is weird as I have not been involved in any of this as she has been trying to take care of it. I can get specifics if needed. 👍

What’s it for?

The issuing agency isn’t involved whatsoever in the collection of any fines. That’s all done through the court, which will be listed on the ticket along with a date that you have to respond (not pay) by.

Sometimes the notice from the court doesn’t arrive, but that’s why their info is on the ticket itself along with some instructions.

They used to be the date and time to appear in the back of the citation maybe at the bottom of the front and the courthouse. Sometimes you have to call the court to get info.

The weird thing is that we never had a copy of the citation. I have my wife pulling the information up and going to get it to me.

If you can't find the court, Call CHP in the area where the cite to place, find out which court they use and call court clerk for traffic citations. They should be able to give you details you need and often you can get a continue over the phone since you don't live in the area.

My Wife got a ticket on Rice road a year or so ago. They issued a ticket on site and later sent an electronic ticket with an additional charge for not presenting registration, which she did at the time of the stop. The traffic portion was able to be handled on line with traffic school, but the added registration one was a pain
We had to go to the county court house in San Bernardino and show the same paper work that was shown at the time of the stop and it was written off.

I don’t understand. You say you never had a copy of the citation. Did she sign something electronically at the time of issue?
