I have no tat's but considered it. I lived in Hawaii and graduated from UH Manoa. It was a very BFD for me for many reasons.... and thought about getting a plumeria for a tat. Wussed out big time, scared of needles.

One of my real good friends has a tat around her belly button. Had a kid. Looks like shit now. She totally regrets it.

BTW, a good tatoo artist is supposed to tell you , umm yea, not a good spot for a tatoo etc. But then again you get what you pay for, buy flash for 100$ you can expect it to run in 5 years.

i know tons of girls with many tattoos each. some are straight BEAUTIFUL, and some just go way overboard with the deal. arms, hips, back, and i guess the legs are alright, but when they start tattooing around their titties i start to get really bummed. i mean, you were blessed (via birth or surgeon) with heaven and you just go an defile the area. so sad.
other places of concern:
-stomach/lower pelvic region -> isn't this the first place "to go"?
-hand/knucke tattoos -> they're a masculine tattoo, so the last thing i want to see when there are hands around big jim and the boys are some manly tattoos.
-neck/throat -> c'mon. really?
-face -> we get it. you need attention.
