Cheetah 22 Build

Will continue to post updates here. Blue color is close but not exactly like picture, I’m a fan of BMW M’s and wanted to get a color that is as close to “Yas Marina Blue” with a super clean look. White vinyl. Will have some upgrades including Merc 520 + more. May be ready in July but will post updates here. Stay tuned

Love that color too. With a 520, how fast should a 22' go?

They are currently building a 26' for me with a 520 and estimated 80 mph. I may start a thread for the 26. It's out of the mold now and motor should arrive next week.

Around 85MPH with the 520. It’s not the first 22 they have done with the 520 but I think it’s a bit more rare.

Also the whole cheetah crew has been great to work with.

I went to Cheetah and checked the red one (first one) out before it was even finished. I almost pulled the trigger on having one built with the 520. But decided to hold off on buying a new boat for now. I am definitely staying tuned to see how this thing does with that 520!

What is the $ for the build? Obviously number change with different adds. Contemplating building a 22'. Would prefer an outboard which Cheetah does not do at this point. But a 520 power plant might work.

In the 130-140 range. But obviously this is with a lot of additions and extra items. The 520 upgrade is especially expensive to add since you also need to add hydraulic steering.

I dont own one of these. But I did tow one for a friend. It's the biggest 22' I've ever seen. That number sounds small. But look at it behind a long bed F150. This angle makes it look massive

Tows great, no trailer hop or sway at all.

I bet one of these would do well with one of the new marine power 454 LSX engines. 511hp @ 5200 rpm and 528ft lbs @ 4200 rpm. When we looked into ordering a 22 deck I wanted to step up to the 520 just to get rid of the cats.

@jAk0b make sure you buy out a platinum warranty on the engine and drive..it is worth the investment. Nice looking rig...520 is a great motor...love mine. it will scream in that boat.

Man did it come out good. You have to be super happy with it. Cheetah really has stepped up their game. Only minor thing I would change is stainless Bimini poles to black. Other then that gawd damn she’s sexy.
