Bringing this thread back to brag a little.
Last month we traveled to Dallas for the NCA Nationals, the largest competition there is. My daughter's team brought home another national title, a grand champions banner, a full paid bid to summit and the herkie high point award.
They beat out 235 teams in Level 2 to win Grand Champion.
We're headed to LA tonight and Anaheim next week before flying to Florida at the end of April for Summit.
I pray to God my daughters team is never that good. Although I will also be in CA, & FL...They also got a "bid"...

WOW!!! That is awesome Forensic
Congratulations to her and her team, that is such a great accomplishment!
Our 4.2 team won National Champions at Dallas last year and we sent four teams to Dallas this year and didn't do as well
Next competition we will be at is Anaheim next weekend. I won't be able to make it on Saturday since my son has a baseball game, but I will be there on Sunday.
Our J2 team went to Vegas and was 2nd going into Sunday and ended up taking home 3rd. Team from Hawaii crushed their performance on Sunday and leapfrogged our girls. Still great showing for Intensity J2, up against some tough competition.LOL.. Werd, and I thought pop warner was expensive going to PW Nationals twice. This gym just has my credit card on file and I'm scheduled to get my TSA precheck soon. 😭
It sure is a lot of fun (nerve wracking) to watch them do something they love so much.
CA sends a lot of teams to all the competitions. They try not to compete against each other if it can be helped though. They decided this weekend that they aren't competing here. Instead they will go as an exhibition team because there are 2 other CA teams still looking for a bid to Summit.
We'll be in Anaheim too.
My daughter started comp cheer this year. So far Anaheim, San Diego and Ontario are the comp cities. Possibly Vegas depending on there trophy. All I can say is biggggggggg $$$$$$$$$
Missed Saturday due to work, will be there today (Sunday)....
Good luck to your girls today.
Only a couple of teams from our gym went. I know for sure the Cali Allstar S1 Large White Gold is.
Saw the Sonics running around all over the place. They have a BIG gym for such a "small" town....lol. I don't think they had a team in our division so couldn't tell you. Hope they did good, I always root for our home away from home. [emoji3]Any body know how the sonics from havasu did my 11 and 13 year old sister in laws were in anihiem this weekend I don't no anything about cheer lol
Universal Sonics took 6 or 7 teams. Do you know what division they are in or team name?Any body know how the sonics from havasu did my 11 and 13 year old sister in laws were in anihiem this weekend I don't no anything about cheer lol
They are new to it I don't know much but my mother in law said they got first place for the first time
You're not kiddding... Watch this IO6 team from our gym... I was lucky enough to be standing at the front of the stage during this performance in Vegas. Those girls were being thrown close to 30' in the air...
I have no problem with early mornings on the weekdays but 4am on a Saturday sucks.....
Up and headed to Anaheim. We perform at 8:00am!!

Intensity All Stars and Surge Athletics have merged to create a new gym, "Intensity Athletics." Tryouts were last week and after a ton of hard work my daughter has made their Youth Level 2 team. This team is going to be a travel team and will compete at NCA in Dallas :yikes
We are really looking forward to this season and can't wait to see them perform.
Nice! Do the Youth Level 2 teams compete both days or just 1? Dallas is quite the experience.
We went to Florida for The Summit. They placed 2nd in Junior 2 Large. They hit perfect routines both days with a final score of 98.35. Very proud of these girls.
Tryouts start tomorrow, 3 days worth. She is trying for a Senior 3 team. If she doesn't make 3 she wants to be on the 4.2 team and maybe crossover to the level 3 team in a month or so when she is more comfortable with her tumbling.
Just got our final schedule for this year :yikes
13 Competitions
2 that require a plane ride (NCA Dallas and American Cheer Power in Columbus, OH)
1 in Glendale AZ that we will drive to (WSF)
10 events from Palm Springs to LA which we will drive to and from on competition days to save $$ on Hotel rooms.
They are competing for a bid to Summit, so we may have to go to Florida to. I am going to need to take out a 2nd mortgage!!!
Wife will probably end up going to Dallas with her and I will go to Ohio [emoji34]13 is a lot of comps. NCA Dallas is a fun one. 400 teams make summit but its a lot harder to get into than it sounds.
Good luck this year!

I am kind of hoping we don't make summit, I don't know of my budget can handle all this....lol.
Here we go, the 2015/16 season is just around the corner.
California All Stars is having their showcase this weekend. 60 teams taking over the UNLV arena to show off for their parents and friends.

This year my daughter is on Sr 4.2, 'Sr. Silver', and will be crossing over to a Jr Level 4 team, 'Fierce 4'.
I think it's pretty cool but we basically live at the Gym now.
Good luck Cheer Dads.
