What's funny is if you read local social media threads you get a lot of locals that think boats should be banned from the channel. The thought is that if you are wealthy enough to own a boat you can drive it somewhere else.

Amnesia runs rampant in the LHC locals...I follow orchids and onions there and it very consistent. Everyone grew up visiting the lake and using it in one manner and as soon as a they moved there they want to change the rules... Havasu was just as crazy or crazier in the 80's and 90's....I have the channel videos that show the mayhem... Only difference is the size of boats and the amount of tattoos (nothing against tatoos)... the only reason that place is on the map and money migrated there cause people visited from other places and wanted it to be their vacation or retirement spot since they had so many good times there... Same people will bitch about Cali government and cheer about live free AZ until they see a full garbage can and want to the government to solve their problems for them...

Well said.. all these people seem to forget they were the ones that ruined the place originally.

With regards to trash, one improvement that would be cool is I wish there was somewhere the part time visitors could dump their trash when leaving their house instead of finding a dumpster on their way out of town.

I moved to Az 7 years ago, been going to Havasu since. I had been to Havasu 7-8 times in the 90's, I'd like to think I'm ruining it for someone. Maybe the 10-15 year residents?

Leaving south at the bridge over Bill williams inlet there are Half dozen big blue trash cans for the very reason. I use them all the time
