Drove through the channel on Sunday and the music noise was intense. You could not hear what it was because all the boats blasting their own likes. It sure seems like the noise level from the stereos is getting out of hand. It is getting hard to hear a good sounding boat with all the crazy noise!

That's one of the reasons we don't even drive through the channel on the weekends, let alone hangout.

One more weekend and we get it back to ourselves(locals). Thank God

During the week there is nice boats hanging out with music playing low in the background. On the weekends it is put is as high as you can on the boat, turn it all the way up so it sounds bad and then act like it is cool. I hate to see some of the kids hearing when they are 20. Mom and dads blasting the music way above 80 for hours. Not good for anyone.

Reason I never installed a stereo in my boat. Always someone with their music playing.

One of the reasons I haven't upgraded the system in my Hallett... Always someone louder.

I can't stand multiple stereos on full blast. If I can hear another stereo I usually turn mine off. Big reason we try to park next to other family's as well when we have the little one.

Complaining the channel is loud is like complaining that it's hot at the river.

It is getting worse as more speakers placed higher on the boats. There was a toon boat with a full home set up blasting noise across the channel at another boat. I think it was a blast off of noise!

Once when I was there a boat on one side was blasting rap and the other playing country as loud as it would go. While I like both types of music they sucked being played over each other. I moved after a little while. :(

I've seen boats with full on club speakers. My vote is to go to a secluded beach or cove if quietness is desired. Anytime we encourage new laws/ restrictions, the efforts usually create more problems than the good which was originally intended.

I wonder what the psychology is behind blasting distorted anger provoking music at other people ?

Just like modern TV, most modern music is absolute trash. That can only mean, more people are becoming....

It blows me away to see people bumping garbage with their kids on board. What's evening more sickening is seeing their children or teens dance to stripper music. Ya, work that ski pylon you 15 year old. :rolleyes

I agree with some of it getting out of hand. I've got about 8,000 watts of stereo equipment I can make pound but I rarely don't. I enjoy all kinds of music but one thing I can't really stand is the rap music stuff with F-this and that and F-yo Momma and so on. I am good with rap but come on, do you really need to hear it like that? I always have the courtesy for other peoples Stereos as well. If I pull up somewhere and somebody has their tunes going then we listen to them. If we don't like the Music which is pretty rare then whatever, it is what it is but I am not going to go and turn my 8,000 watts of Stereo on and blow him away. Don't get me wrong, there are times when somebody's battery will run low and I turn mine up but play the appropriate Music. Some of these Roll bar boats with the 20 ;Speakers on the rack is a little too much IMO.

We brought a pretty big PA system and a PA subwoofer once to the river. But it was on a houseboat on Lake Mohave. Good shit and everyone came over to party :)

I think the LAM factor is huge among those with stereos blasting in the channel. I'm fully convinced half of them don't even like the music they're forcing on the rest of us. 40/50 year old white guy's blasting god awful rap. No way they like that shit.

It is the beginning of the end for you TCHB....lol

It is what it is. It isn't going to change so the best thing to do is avoid it when you want to.

Locals will eventually call for a noise limit. More tickets, more DUI's and Drunk in Publics, more revenue. Ass holes ruin it for everyone. If you leave your music at a decent level, things will remain.

Turn that shit up and sit your kids in front of the speakers. My wife invested heavily in hearing aid import and distribution back in the 80's because of head phones. Over the years it has done nothing but return dividends. laugh all you want, the hearing aid sales to 30-40 year old is sky rocketing. :D

Some of the other reasons are ;

Just can't stand to hang around all those Republicans with their DCB's, guns, blowers, tattoos, and freedom to completely ignore liberals in the free state of Arizona ................ HA HA

Buncha old farts....
Lol..my new boat got zero stereo upgrades when I built it [emoji4] Places like the channel or Steamboat sometimes are useless and hopefully I pick a spot that isn't deafening to jump in n cool off. Anywhere else my bone stock stereo is plenty to enjoy. Save about 400lbs is equipment and generator...lmao[emoji23]

Just play good music on quality speakers at a good level....if someone is trying to steal the show, then shut down and move on....I like late night up near the dam and I don't have to blast my tunes, just enjoy good tunes at a great level and swim to the beat..LOL:D

This part of the reason I boat during the week. I have the first stereo in a boat after all the boats I have owned. I care not to try and look "or sound cool" to anybody else but if I would like to float or hang out a spot I don't need to deal with stereo wars. I have more class than blast my music to try and out do others. Sounds to me like alot of small dick syndrome. Just my opinion! M

With so many people wearing their helmets, people are having to turn up their stereos.

So which are you more proud of, the fact that your state has no good lakes without speed limits, or your neighbors who are able to live their lifestyles wish to relax in a 'more free' atmosphere, like Arizona ?

Many 'great people here' continue to offer 'low opinions' of Arizona and Havasu in particular, but until you live here full time, you really offer 'false witness' .

I own properties in other states and other places, that does not give me the right to offer 'flawed input' as to living there full time . Opinion is just that, and mine is that "only locals are allowed to park in the Havasu channel", how's that sit with you ?

There is 50 guys trying to steal the show! Yes move to the north side which is now my favorite spot on the weekends. Labor day the noise returns for the last time this year.

I wonder if the music i hear being played by some people is actually being played in their car, and at that volume. Or is that just the lake trap music

I've been in Audeo/ video all my life. I like quality sound, sometimes loud, sometimes very loud, but clean. My last boat had a nice $6k system in it when I bought it, and it pounded hard, but outside the boat was reasonable and tried to be respectful of others with regards to volume and content.I think a lot of the younger people just have no respect, many of the roll bar boats with all the speakers on top are louder(and usually distorted) outside the boat. They're usually the ones that drive around with the ballast full with or without riders ruining the lake also. Just my opinion.

Same here. If someone is already playing music I just leave mine off. It gets pretty loud but that's not really why we got it [emoji4]
