When was the last time you used coins {quarter, dime, nickle or penny)? I use cash but when I get change it will go into my pockwet for the rest of the day then when I get home it goes into a jar. I myself do not carry change around in my pocket anymore.

Just a random thought that came up right now.....

All coins end up in a jar at home as well as any dollar bills I have at end of the day. One day when I go to coin star I’m breaking that bitch. Used to cash it all in about once a year and it would be about a grand Haven’t done it in about 4 or 5 years now. Maybe it’s time 🤷🏻‍♂️

I keep my coins in the center console of my truck and when the silver piles up I use it to pay for fast food. It feels like a free meal that way.
That’s how you tell if times are good or bad. ashtray’s full of pennys, times are tuff.

I throw them in a mason jar and when it fills up, I take them to a coin star machine and cash them in for Amazon credit. No fee for it. Last time (if memory serves) it was $367.00.

Canada has one and two-dollar coins and they are annoying! I buy lotto tickets with the change.

Exactly what I do, I don't use cash enough to bother trying to save the silver coins in a jar. I do put most of the pennies in a box though. Got a few pounds worth, not sure what to do with them.

I don't carry chang. I keep it in a bin in my car and truck. When it gets to full, I throw the change into an old Foldgers Coffee can. When the can is full, I take it to Coinstar.

I do keep a ziplock bag with about $20 in change in the console of each vehicle in case I ever don't have my wallet with me. At least I can buy a little gas or snacks in an emergency.

We used to save the $$$$ and cash later in the year to have a good dinner or buy something. Now I rarely pay with cash so there is not much. I typically keep it in the ashtray or other area in the car to get maybe 15 minutes of metered parking out $15 from time to time. OR the kid uses it leaving me without a penny when I forget my wallet in the drive-thru.

I don’t use cash often so not much change anymore. If I do have change it goes in a jar. I’ll grab some coins if going somewhere I know I’ll need some.

I have an old glass sparkletts bottle 3/4 of the way full. I keep my ones and change for some reason. I have a coke machine at the shop so that doesn't help with the change accumulation.

I typically fly Southwest but had to fly United this trip and they wont even take a Credit Card any longer for in-flight food/drink purchases. People like my parents that dont have a smart phone are quickly getting cut out of society.

I keep a roll of quarters for meters in each car, use some of it at least weekly.

I rarely use cash for anything other than marketplace anymore. Any small bills I have at the end of the day go into MaK's piggy bank, which is stuffed to the brim at the moment.

Use cash all the time. When I get coins small bills back. I save it for the strip club.
That's why I have stacks of ones. Guess I should go support some single moms more often.

Ash trays in cars have at least $3 in them. The rest goes in a small basket. Cash it out at my credit union . Usually $40-50 each time. I get all singles, then head you know where.

Exactly the same. Coinstar at our local Albertsons does the same.

As a general rule if it is under $20 or a tip I am paying cash. At the end of the day coins go into a jar. Every few months the jar magically disapears and either the wife or kids (Usually both) start getting more Amazon packages.

Took us about 3 years to fill a sparklets jug. We'd put cash in it too, mostly small bills. Rolled the coins and went to the bank. There was a line of people behind me who were not happy at all! LOL. It ended up being a few grand.

Since I quit smoking YEARS ago I daily take any change and toss it in a Big glass Sparklets water bottle over the years I've filled it several times over (but probably less than what I would have spent on smokes) Last time we dumped it as I recall it was close to a grand

I've got close to $800 in coins in jars. I never spend it if I get it, just bring it home and put it in jars. Typically I will cash them in before a vacation (thats how I know about how much I have) for spending cash.

I also have a habit of paying only with 20's and then pocketing whatever change. If we are out having drinks I will pay with fresh $20's every time and pocket what is left. All that goes into the safe when I get home. It crazy how quickly it can add up. its also a good vacation fund.

Funny, same thing happens at my house. Notice the jar empty and the recycle bin full of Amazon boxes.

No. But I save all of them for River trips with my Nieces and Nephews. I drive them around and they throw them all over spreading good luck. It's funny in the winter time. By the next day you won't see any. Even if they throw hundreds. The snowbirds will pick up every last one of them. In summer I will see them laying around a month or more after the kids trip.

I’m going to try this in the Keys, lol. The snowbirds walk and ride bikes all day long, I bet a penny wouldn’t last an hour on the street.

In my work I’m often in front of a room presenting.

I stopped carrying change in my pocket 30+ years ago because I didn’t want to be jingling my change while public speaking.

As a side note - I never have a cell phone in my pocket while presenting also.
