Just picked up my car from a full detail/polish and ceramic coating. Its absolutely unbelievable how good it looks. Pics don’t do it justice. I’m pretty stoked.

The guy has a tricked out bay with special verticle lighting on the walls, a lift and other specialized tools. It took him three full days to knock it out. If you’re looking for a high end detail in the Santa Clarita area, I definitely recommend Josh at Waxed. They have a mobile operation as well.

Looks great. Which coating did he use? My cars were ceramic coated using Opti-Coat Pro Plus at Autoskinz in Santa Clarita.

Very nice!!

Thinking about having a local guy do that for me. Dealer wanted to charge over $2K at purchase time. Local guy wants $400.

He has done several of my friends vehicles and they are happy.

Do you mind me asking what you paid?

400.00 seems awfully cheap

That is what he charges "friends" He does it normally for $1K+

He is a good friend of a buddy that works in a body shop. Its his side hustle.

Hate to say it but I really don’t know. My neighbor across the street has a special edition R8 with a V10. Over the last couple of years, these guys came by and cleaned, detailed and coated it. I was always impressed with how nice it looked. When I decided to get it done, I used the same folks.

It was two days of prep and then the coating. Cash deal was $1,450.

Here’s a video of the polishing. Front door already had the first pass, back door was untouched at this point in time.

Not bad. To do a good job, it's at least a 2 day job to do it right. LOTS of labor. Any more, figure $100hr for someone who knows what the heck they are doing.

Just the attention to detail on masking is so important. Any hack can slap home depot masking tape on a vehicle. Quality person uses 3M green or yellow body shop tape.

On a Beemer. . . . yea, I could see that price. Lots of work to do it right and have it last.

Looks great!! 👍👍🤟🤟

Was thinking the same thing? Maybe it’s a ceramic wax? Chris Howard is picking my boat up on the 13th to do a full ceramic coating. I’ll post pics once it’s done.

Kelly is the best, my truck has a 9 year coating. I high pressures soap it, then spot free rinse at my car wash weekly and it looks awesome. Dirt doesn’t stick. Water beeds right off. I’ve probably only had to physically wash it 10 times in nearly 2 years. Check out his IG page too. My truck was new and had nearly two days of paint corrections, then applying a 9 year coating, $400 isn’t enough at Min wage rate

Chris Howard is the best in Havasu. One of the few that will actually do a full correction prior to coating.
Look forward to seeing you post pics of the finished product.

The cheap guys hit you with we need to redo it in 6 months for another $300 (or whatever cost) get it done legit and your good for years. I have a bunch of buddies that have a ceramic coat but need to keep getting it done a real ceramic coat doesn't need that.
