Prime rib. Sous vide water bath until tomorrow at 129°. Then I’ll sear it in the oven.

Cooking asada now. Fresh guacamole from my tree. Neighbor smoked tacos. River pad is a mad house with the rain outside. 10 kids 10 adults.

Kids are out of town so going to make ground chicken Philly cheesesteak / bacon ranch sandwiches on the out door flat top grill.

It’s Honeybaked Ham weekend here. Just the ham, we make everything else served with it.

And we got 8+” of snow today with more on the way tomorrow so I’m not in the mood to cook outside this weekend.

14lb brisket. Just hit hour 9. Will pull it off at hour 12.5, wrap and back on for an another 3-5 hours til probe tender. Then will let it rest for an hour and into the ice chest for another 2-3…then serve

I picked up 2 packs of short ribs at Costco - Malcolm Reed’s recipe was such a winner last time I did them my boys wanted to try them. That and Uncle Junior’s Frijoles a La charra and whatever sides they are bringing. They’re going on at noon. Hopefully the rain doesn’t affect my cook time.

Taking my mom and stepdad to the Atlantic grille for dinner. Mom wants to cook, but her memory is going. If she cooks a big meal then stepdad has to hover and make sure she doesn’t burn the house down. Then they argue about what she is doing and kind of ruins the meal. I was surprised I was able to talk her into going out.
