He's now says to send email to [email protected] if you too have been duped. Fuck! I should have known it was too good of a price to be true but he insisted he just wanted to be a part of my build.

Wow. I bought two cowls from him 2-3 years ago? Had no issues. That sucks.

Thanks for the update on this topic. That sucks you got burned. I saw your posts and thought "Damn, that's not a bad price!" I was considering following your path with my engine this upcoming year..... Well, now that won't be happening. Thank you for saving some heartache with this update.

He's telling me on messenger that he's refunding peoples money then he'll start over. That just doesn't seem possible to rebound from. Hopefully he sells the molds either back to the original guy who sold them to him or someone who will start a new business. SHIT,,,,,I feel so stupid!!! Anyone know of one for sale or know someone manufacturing them?
I've got the powerhead off for the sold motor mounts now

I don't have any first hand knowledge but based on someone who has spoken to him it length, this is not his only business and sounds like he has the resources to come out of whatever has been created.

I hope the best for everyone involved. It seems in the boating business that deposits never stop being taken but production often does.

I have an alien cowl and pan off a 300x. I put an XS powerhead on and I’m using my XS cowl that has a carbon fiber air intake.

The best is when there’s a stop payment. Then you see the funds reversed out of your account between 12-3.

My USPS tracking # given to me by Chris's wife stipulated 1/8/24 delivery before 9AM. Did not receive it. Went to post office and they say tracking indicates it is late and should arrive 1/10/24
I'll keep you guys posted. I need the 2k to pay me back for the 2.5k I just paid for a new OEM Alien off a 2005 280. The guy has a new/unused 280 he's putting a carbon fiber cowl on. Cowl still has the WARNING sticker on how to properly break in motor

Your is a carb or laser motor so he's going to have to fab up a bracket, and make sure the poppet opening is cut in the pan.

WOT has installed CDR's so I'm sure it'll get done correctly. I'll touch base with them tomorrow.
On another note,,,,Chris seemed like a very nice guy, although I only had interaction with him for about a week. He spoke to me when I had questions on the cowl and when I got word of what was going down. He never tried to avoid me and responded to all my messages. There were some pretty angry people who he had stood up for a long period of time so I thought for sure I was fucked. I apologized to him one night at 11pm CA time, which was 2am Kentucky time, for the late message but he proceeded to tell me that it was ok and he never sleeps because he has 6 businesses. Maybe the guy was on something to stay afloat, and it caught up to him. BTW, that Carbon Fiber cowl was gonna look so badass. I'm also cool with the one I got though.
