Below 5% and both Schwab and Fidelity dropped 30 day certificates…. It was fun, but I guess we go back to incentivizing debt instead of saving.
Just rolled ours in chase 3 month 4.5. 12 months was 2.5

I have been watching for a couple days and there has been no 30 day offerings. BUT since I posted Schwab just put out a single bank 30 day at 4.75, so I grabbed it.

yeah had a few discover CD's at 5.3% that just matured. current 9 month is 4% so it'll just sit in the money market at 4.5% for now.

Back in 1979 when my wife was graduating HS she had some extra money. Her grandfather said get some CD's.

Yea, they hit 17% He told her they would never, ever hit that high again.

That was back when Jimmy was president.

Schwab Money Market is still not too bad depending on what you have. Here’s the 7 day yield.

Quick rant, Rivian sucks. The highs and lows this year are giving me anxiety..

… I got into a 12 mo. at 5.1% maybe two or three months ago… A credit union having to do with the entertainment industry… So I put a chunk in… I should call them and see what they’re offering right now… Just out of curiosity🤷🏽‍♀️

I loaded up on long 4.7-5% tax free munis during that period.

I still have cash sitting in the snaxx account at Schwab and taking a haircut.…not sure what to do as its only going lower. Maybe pick up some hard money even though Id rather not.

… You pretty much have to live in Los Angeles county and there may be a couple of other rules to join… But there is a 4.5% seven month-er @ First Entertainment Group Credit Union.., in Burbank…🤷🏽‍♀️

I remember purchasing a 15% 5-year CD in 1982. I was around 21 y/o. Thought it was the worst thing I could do with my money @21, but I locked up $10k. It started what is now my slush fund. I was in the Navy at the time and spent a lot of time at sea. No place to spend those paychecks aboard ship.

Then I found out about stocks, but it took a 401k plan to get me hooked. 😉
