Your instructor told you to shoot to kill?
I have been told in every class I've taken in three states that you "shoot to stop the threat." That doesn't mean try to shoot them in the leg. If you say you intended to kill in court, you're likely going to be unhappy with the result. Feel free to do what you have to do, but that's not what I was taught, and it's not my mindest because of it.
BTW, this is the wording that I heard Kyle Rittenhouse use repeatedly in his defense. He intended to "stop the threat."
Mine said the same thing. Make sure they are dead.
