Chill week...
3 streets off...pretty damn good!Looks like Studio near Thalberg . Ridden many waves out front there over the last 36 years .
One of my claims to fame , won the Cayucos Surf contest in 1967 Junior mens division on my Yater spoonLove me some Cayucos! Logged a lot of hours in the Tavern
We’ve been at the river for a few days but the day before we left, I got some really fun waves at the pier in the morning. Last 2 previous winters it was real good with all the runoff. The Tavern has been closed for the most part in recent years, although I was 86’d from Christmas Eve 03’ to about 09’ for bringing pit bikes in, wheelieing one through the green metal door into the alley, and allegedly handing out some free drinks while the bartender took one of the bikes for a rip down the pier and on the beach with the local sheriffs kicking it out front just laughing … It was a fun spot back in the day-Studios and Standard Oil piers were some of my Favorites , Cayucos pier wasnt bad too , a few recent shark warnings recently
