The new CSR website is up and running at www.catalinaskirace.net. It is still a work in progress but we hope to have it completed soon. Any serious suggestions concerning the site will be considered. The race date is July 20, 2013. Thanks.

Hey John,

This is Carl Brunst I was out fishing this weekend out of Long Beach and went down the center Buoy channel towards The Maya Hotel all the way to the old finish line directly across from the victory dock and the shallowest I read on my depth finder was 15'. What is the chance we could get the finish line back to where it used to be?

Thanks in advance for all the hard work you put into putting on this great race.

I would say that this is unlikely as it has become an issue at the city level. We would love it as is simplifies the logistics of getting the scoring team to the finish line and would do away with the turn buoy at the stern of the Queen Mary. I will talk with JP and see if we can get out and do some sounding at low tide. If the numbers are still good we will take the info to the city and ask.

I think the site looks great. My only suggestion is that it shows all the previous winners and times as well as record holders for each class. When "entry booklets" used to be sent out it would always have the winners for every year and the record holders. The last website never updated the record holders and/or list the winners for each year. I think those two items should be added somewhere on the site.

Thanks for the input. We are working on a Archives/Records section that would have all of the information you are looking for. When we started this project we searched for a web site designer that would also train a club member to update the site. So we should be able to do a better job of staying current. :)

The entry form will not be available until after June 2nd, which is when we are holding the Sponsor Lottery Drawing. Probably June 4th or 5th the entry form will be on the web site.
