It was really nice seeing some old friends and meeting some new ones! Real nice to see you CJ! it's been along time, I think it was the '77 CSR when I rode in the patrol boat with you, too long, I will send my brother your picture and tell him you are racing again!

And what can I say about the Johnson Family, Tom and Doris, it is always a pleasure to see you and your family! and Doris, please get Tom to scan and post some old ski race photo's, the people here will really appreciate them, please! :bowdown:

Talk about giving a guy ideas. Do we know who's boat this is? I've thought about a 300 on mine, but wasn't sure how it would carry the weight at slow speed. I'd love to speak with the owner.

What a great weekend, I guess I'll start in the beginning. On my way up to the Maya hotel I stopped off at Long Beach Marine Stadium. Racerden threw up a post about the kids day event that takes place on Friday before the race. I really didn't hear much of the event and figure it would be a couple of easy ups on the beach, a boat, and some folks having some fun. Well boy was I surprised, there must have be 2000 people on that beach, huge tents, hundreds of kids (grinning form ear to ear) The In N OUT lunch truck, news vans, and one very BIG BIRD All I can say is that the people that are involved in the event are the kind of people that make this planet a better place.:thumbsup:thumbsup
