Catalina Polar Bear 2014

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and is ready for a fun new year.

Let's get the conversation started about this year's polar bear. This will be a fun run, non sanctioned event for bragging rights. Also a great opportunity to dust off the old equipment or try out something new.

How does Saturday, January 11th sound? Meet at the starting line between island's White & Grissom at 9:00am, start at 9:30, meet for lunch at Yardhouse @ 11:00. Anyone making the run in under an hour is responsible for saving the table @ lunch.

BJ, if you ever wanted to be able to brag about a fast time to the island and back, Saturday is the day to do it. Drove up PCH today and the ocean is unbelievably flat...

If anyone reads this before they head to Long Beach I just left work, and driving by the Maya Hotel the fog was so thick visibility was about 50'! Bummed I'm not gonna be out there skiing. Everyone have fun!

Great run guys!!!
Nice to meet you and few others at Yardhouse after the run. I know we all got separated at the start but we took off behind Stevie, Todd and Carls crew. We hit the fog 5 miles off Avalon and punched through 2 miles out. Matt and Brian did over and back so we waited for fog to lift off Avalon for about 20 minutes. Pretty much Glass other that the Sneaker cruiser wakes 34 minutes there 32 minute back. Looking forward to future runs and hope to see you in Parker sometime.
