Hey all, We're traveling from WA. state to Bullhead AZ. and we're looking for suggestions/options for a casino or campground somewhere halfway between Reno and Bullhead. We just got into Reno tonight and not feeling like making the run all the way to Bullhead tomorrow. We stayed at 7feathers(very nice) last night in southern OR. and it's been a shit drive today(rain and wind) all the way here. We're flat towing a car, behind an RV, so pull thru sites are best. Time for some beers to settle my nerves 🍻

Knowing the route would help. I assume it is the 95 South?
There is a rest stop just north of Tonopah. If I recall, they also have a campground just before you get into town on the left—plenty of places to boondock.

Scotty's junction is a little further south; there is lots of room to stop there.

Beatty is where I would try and stop. They have a casino there, and there seems to be a fair amount of room as well in a dirt lot across the street.

My inlaws travel from the Reno area to Topock to visit us on the holidays, they always stop in Beatty and camp, sometimes for a couple days because they love it.
I'm not sure which campground they stay at, but Beatty is pretty dang small, so I'm sure it's easy to find. I've been to Beatty several times for the V2R race, and also Tonopah.
I'm not sure about camping in Tonopah, but I absolutely love that town, it has a couple killer dive bars, a sorta strange casino, and the Mitzpah hotel, which is super cool.
But Beatty is probably a better stop as far as looking for a camp spot, and the drive into BHC is a quite a bit shorter than from Tonopah.

Thanks for the recommendations! Yes, we are heading down the 95 and sounds like Beatty is the ticket at 5 hours from here. Calling when they open to see about reservations.

Thanks again for the help, we landed in Bullhead city and all is well. Stayed in Beatty last night, and that wind is no joke.💨 We met some of the burrows, in the road, on the way out of town. Made my wife's morning.👍

So Beatty is OK for a night? I'm going Carson City to Havasu tomorrow, and doing it a few times a year, but taking the 95 and staying in Lone Pine for the night because Betty looked a little sketchy. Would rather travel without hitting California from now on though.

Beatty seems like sweet little town... We came down the 395, from Reno, and the place my wife made reservations was just north of town. Once we packed up and got back on the road, the next morning, going south(thru Beatty) they had nicer options. Where we stayed, Beatty RV resort or something. We pull in, nice flat, pull thru spots with full hook-ups. No names, no registration, no licence plates, $25cash and no receipt. there were a few brothels around there so I didn't ask a lot of questions. 🤣

Thanks. Sounds good. I'll try it when we head down for January.
