Saw this yesterday while on a hike close to my house. Does anyone know about it?

If you havent heard sirens recently then I'd guess a stolen car dumped.

It's a lil far down but it looks like it's been there for a bit.

That would be my guess. Have 380 acres of hill with a dirt road to the top. People dump stolen cars on the property at least 3 times per year.

I have personally hooked 2 cars, in one clean-up weekend in Johnson Valley, to my Dodge and drug them to the road. One was a BMW (just a shell) and that one looks BMW ish to me.

Thieves suck and until we can legally stone them in a public square...never mind.

I think it may have been a lancer or Subaru. It looked fairly Intact. Driver door was gone but everything else was still there. It had a big x on the rear door. Someone with a tow truck should roll up there and swoop it up. It's about 60 feet down a cliff

I haven't run that road in awhile. I remember seeing a couple trucks down the canyon in random spots. More than likely stolen, there is a slim chance it's training for one of the search and rescue agencies.

I'm surprised PD hasn't had it recovered. Assuming they know about it. If it's there cause someone crashed and left it it's probably not insured. No way an insurance company is gonna leave it. My company works with insurance auto auctions and we go get shit like this all the time for the insurance companies via IAA. Being that it's in corona I wouldn't be surprised if we get it soon if it's insured. My guess is that it's stolen and you may have been the first to find it. Call the PD and let them know. They will send someone after it.

If there is an X on the car it usually means it was already spotted by the police department. Thats how they tag them to make sure they are cleared of bodies or whatever else may be in there...

For some reason when the payments get behind this tends to happen.
