We haven’t been there in a few years haha. It is a good place for people watching.

We just checked out the Fresco menu after getting some ice cream. I think we are going there tomorrow for lunch. The roof top looks pretty nice. Someone also mentioned tower 23.

If I could suggest a Legendary Carlsbad restaurant that will be closing in September due to the passing of its owner , Big John Haedrich.
For me best breakfast in town and has been for over 40 years.
If ya like great breakfast meats… 3 eggs, home fried potatoes and toast with all you can eat Bacon, ham, bratwurst, polish sausage and pork sausage.
The price…a little over 9.00 last time I was in there
They have other bfast items as well, I’ve just never ordered them!
Pro tip…get a double order of bacon to start and then get after the rest. No reorders on bacon!
Also, the Daily News has a new owner and he is working to improve the food.
He will be offering a Hawaiian style menu beginning in a few months.
Someone mentioned Coyote…their weekend breakfast menu is good as is all the food there.
I had lunch there Tuesday and the Chili Rellano was one of the best I’ve had.
The owner takes a lot of pride in their menu.
Swami’s I’ve heard has gone downhill a bit.
Hennessy’s is pretty average as well.

I’ve got all the rigging parts remade and off to powder coat(owner’s choice not mine).
Have to see how rest of installation goes as well as engine building program.

We are taking a break from the endless heat in AZ down the street in Luecadia…. Love this area.

We are going to Carlsbad on Sunday to visit some friends.

I am hoping to do some aerobatics in my friends Decathlon out of Palomar this week also.

Hotel has a 9pm curfew so fire pits and pool area gets shut down early.

Say it ain't so!!! Disappointing. I remember when the husband and wife team that owned El Norte and Fidels down in Solana Beach split. Both restaurants were excellent. Fidels is still good at least.

Saturday nights in downtown Carlsbad is insane!
Our goto Mexican restaurant is over in Oceanside, owned by some longtime friends and family from Carlsbad, Rosarita Cafe on Oceanside Blvd.
If you’ve been around town long enough you might remember Marron’s where the Grand Avenue Bar and Grill is.
They use Marron’s recipes and it’s pretty darn good.
Most nights it’s full of old school Carlsbad Locals, so that’s fun too.
When the wife and I bike down the hill to the village, Mas Fina Cantina and Senior Grubby’s are great stops with outside seating for an app and a beer.
We’re heading over to Johnny Mañana’s in Oceanside tonight for a bite and a sunset walk on the pier.

We have camped @ Carlsbad SB 4-5 time a year for 10 years straight. That campground was one of the best values and fun we've had camping.
Now I understand its like $80 a night thanks to Newsome and CA State Parks. So we don't bother with it any more.

There is a breakfast place in Encinitas that has manhole sized pancakes. Wished I remembered the name. My son learned to surf there in Carlsbad. We have also rented a Wake Tractor a couple times in Carlsbad Lagoon. Super fun also.

I restored a House for Whiteworks Family in Vista to get it sold. I really learned allot about the area and wouldn't hesitate living down there.
