This story got buried in the election news barrage, but CARB apparently just modified something in the ACT (Advanced Clean Truck) regulation a few days ago, that basically prevents the manufacture of diesel RVs in CA and 5 other states that follow CA's lead.
The only "out" is if they can sell enough zero emission vehicles for credit. Freightliner and Spartan cannot, so their chassis' can no longer go under an RV in these states. Ford has implied they might have enough credits and a chassis that works, but not sure how common that one is.
