cool shots....If I didn't have to make the commute to OC I would absolutely consider buying in Canyon Lake.

Such a cool community.

Is that it?

Seriously - I've heard of canyon lake for 30 years and assumed it was much bigger. Is that the whole lake?

It looks nice - but small.

Objects taken from drone camera may appear much smaller than they really are...

That sure looks like a lot boats/docks for what kind of looks like an oversized pond. Also in like the fourth pic there is a road dividing the lake in half...is there a way to get around it or something? Nice looking place, just seems a bit small. Also where is this located? It would be a great place to paddle board...boating not so much.

It is a pretty small lake I need to do about 8-laps to get my boat on but it’s cool. The 35mph speed limit totally sucks but it’s fun to go out and float during the summer heat then drive back to the house and chill watch TV. It’s an almost perfect setup with restaurants and liquor store a quick golf cart ride from the house.

My buddy has a home on the jump lake in the last pic. He has to take his boat over to the main lake if he wants to boat on that side.

Canyon Lake is closed.

2nd pic shows the backwater, where the slalom course is, around the bend is where the wakeboarders go to play.

4th pic, there is a tunnel visible in the pic that you drive your boat through to get under the road.

Little known fact, Canyon Lake will be a stop on the bullet train.

Waaaaaay back when, back where one of the water feeds go into the lake in pic two we used to offroad from Newport and Railroad Rd. to get our JetSkis on the lake. The lake "authorities" came back to us once and just told us to stay back there and they'd leave us alone.

Also landed a Hot Air Balloon in Canyon Lake neighborhood on an unbuilt house pad one time...Pilot was running low on fuel after the winds turned around on us.
It was a big tadoo, lol, lots of cameras from the locals. :D:D

Back in the day I did a lot of work in that place , anyone remember the day the black guy murdered his wife ? Or when the little mall across from the main gate burned down ?

Same here, I looked at a few houses out there and was in love.

I checked out the commute and choked.

Used to drive up from San Diego to ride MX during the week off of Railroad Canyon, where the Canyon Hills subdivision is now. Was a who's who of early and mid 90's mx stars there during the week.

Please explain to me the commute problem as I don't know where this is compared to the OC area ?
Thanks [emoji202]

It's a haul and it's across the 91 to the 55...the 91 always sucks unless you get fast track. I hit the 91 at about 4:40am for about 5 miles and it sucks ass.

This and the 55 can be a real bitch too. I'd guess it would be about 40 out of 54 miles of the drive in mild to heavy traffic.

here is a little projection from Google Maps based on getting to my office around 8:20

Stoker, how much are you going to ask and do you already have a realtor involved? My brother in law came over to my place and wants to find lakefront....maybe you could avoid the fees. If he doesn't bite there's a realtor who lives next door to my place, real nice guy, hard worker. We love it out there. It's a small lake with rules, gated with guards (like Hidden Shores), golf cart community with it's own restaurants, sports bar, golf course, huge lakefront pool, great 4th of July show, horse stables, mountain biking...just about anything you want to do minus a 100mph run on the lake...lol.

My wife is also a realtor. I have lived in the lake since 2009 and love it. We have recently decided to live on our boat full time and travel. I have the house leased out until march next year. I will probably be asking around 800k.

No its bigger than that. I fly over it a lot. Pretty spread out

4,000 homes, 15 miles of shoreline, 383 acre lake. It's small but a lot of fun and full of good people. A big part of the lake is a 5 mph zone, but that's were most people float, kayak, paddle board and fish.

The Red 'pin' is Canyon Lake. OC is to the left of the map. North San Diego County is at the bottom.

I’d be down to show you guys around. I’ve already offered to Dave, same goes to you Joe. [emoji1360] I still owe OSB a ride on the 22, but that probably won’t happen. Haha. So it’ll be a tour on a toon. Not sure about next month though.
